alhamduliah..

with the grace of allah almighty,,, i recieved my passport stamped with visa 2dy

i just cnt believe this ws the day i was waitng for so long ,,, my whole process took 27 months n 15 days...its been a bumpy ride,,, i lost hope so many times... at times i felt i wont b able to meet my hubby thr.. n i dont knw how i gathered courage,,but anyhow this forum always been so helpful for me n my hubby ali.g .. i found wonderful ppl here,,, thnk u so much evry1.

may allah make this process easy for all members,, ameen.

oh thnk u so much danny bhai,,, whnevr me n my hubby came across any issue related to immigration,, n delayed response from them ,,, we both used to discuss k danny bhai sy pata krty hain,,he must b having sm solution lol ,, n reallly ur advices were very useful

I applied on the 7th. Still haven't received them. It can take up to 45 days... So, it can take up to January 23 rd.

mostly they update status to decision made once the visa is stamped,, but i knew few cases which were done in summer session one of them ws evn not updated till the end.

My wife's e-case updated the same day she got the passport back with Visa.

My wife's e-case updated the same day she got the passport back with Visa.

I got my passport back and I am in Canada now. My status on E-Cas still shows as In Process.
So people, DO NOT rely totaly on the e-cas. Sometimes the status doesnt change.
My status was always as application received, when i received a phone call from CHC for PPR, status changed to In Process. (phone call was received dec 3 2012). I sent in the passport and it came back Dec 14th 2012. Status on E-Cas still showed as In Process and is still showing the same although I have landed in Canada.

My husbands passport was personally taken on his Interview date on NOVEMBER 14th 2012 & we were told by the VO that it will not take much longer to get the passport back! Its been more than 45 days since and we have not received his passport back!

I dont know what is happening!

I know a lot of people whose passports took more than 2-3 months to come back. It depends on your Medical Expiry date. They normally try to return it 1-2 months before your medical expires. For a few cases, they issued the visa but made a spelling mistake so they had to re-issue and it took longer to send the passport back. There can be a number of reasons why your passport is taking long to get back. Just be assured that once you have submitted your passport, u will certainly get visa stamped on it when you get it back. You should be happy your case is approved.
As for the time frame, CHC is very unpredictable in this case. When i received the phone call from CHC they told me we are mailing you the PPR form right now, you will get it tomorrow. Send it back to us tomorrow so we get it the day after. But Jaania, we waited and waited and never received the PPR form the next day. TCS takes times to deliver stuff. I got so worried in regards to my form because the officer had personally said on the phone you will get it tomorrow. I waited and waited, called TCS numerous times. In the end I received the PPR form 5 days later.
So I would say allow the VO atleast 10 days to process the visa and then another 4-5 days for the stupid TCS service. Trust me, you will get the passport back, its just a matter of time. Plus one of my friends sent in the passport dec 4th and got it back Dec 27th due to the christmas break and winter holidays (it was delayed). I think give it another 1-2 weeks, you should have it back soon.

My husband did his re-med in OCTOBER 2012 which means our medical will expire OCTOBER 2013 LOL!! I dont think they will hold his passport for that long.

My husbands Quebec Selection Certificate will expire MARCH 2013, this cannot be re-done and he has to be in Quebec before that expires.
Quebec will not extend or issue another certificate, it is a provincial thing I suppose.

AMEEN! I hope that you are right and we get his passport back in 1 or 2 weeks IN SHA ALLAH!
