You had a re-medical request and an interview after?, may I know why do you expect a refusal letter instead
. Our 2nd medical was done in may 2011 after that we had not received anything from the embassy no interview or medical request and our status was changed to decision made on nov 9 or 10 and still waiting for letter I have heard if decision is made before requesting remedial or interview or without a passport request then it's usually a refusal. But I still hope for some miracle :)

oh u know better coz i havent tried that many.

CB - it's useless to e-mail them these days because I have observed for the past 5-6 months who ever that e-mails them gets this response. They no longer provide any kind of information on the status of the file like they use to. They have gotten even lazier than before, if that's possible :S

It takes about 1 month on average, for a file to be received and indexed at the visa office. Meaning, that it takes time for files to be received and put into the visa office processing systems. So give them some time like a month after file transfer before you start asking them about the file whereabouts.

Islamabad has a lot of sponsorship cases so it takes more time and not many visa officers due to security situation. It is not a place where most diplomats want to go and live. Used to be nice decades ago, but not anymore.

Their client service sucks. They are not good at all in responding to inquiries nor do they provide the desired responses specific to questions. Other visa offices are prompt and reply quickly and to the point according to the inquiry if its reasonable.

You can always order GCMS notes to check the file status if you're not certain. Of course you will need to do it with Access to Information with $5 payment, and authorized forms filled/signed by the sponsored person so that their GCMS is released to the sponsor. Otherwise you will just end up with FOSS notes.

If a file is in process of transfer, do not inquire on it as you will only confuse yourself and worry unnecessarily. Wait at least a month or 2 AFTER the transfer to inquire about status of file.

It is useless to ask Pakistani govt officials as they only care about corruption. Don't expect the Canadian govt to listen to Rabbani or anyone. Even for some trade shows the Canadian govt was not even considering letters from Pakistan's Foreign Ministry to grant visas, so what makes you think they will listen to anyone else. Only your MP can help you in some ways.

Its been years since there was an audit by CIC of the Islamabad office, I wonder when they will do it again because one seems to be necessary in order for everyone to know what's going on and why it sucks so much in client service unlike other offices around the world.
