I think the stupid Gov't should make the law not to give permanent resident card so quickly and wait to see if the marriage is legit.
On the other hand they should just give everyone temporary visa so spouse don't have to wait for years to enter Canada.

this only applies to online booking not for travel agent. so she can ask her husband to book it through travel agent which will be infact more beneficla and cheeper then there posted rates on their website OR her husband can perform cash adavance from visa and then pay that cash to PIA office in person.

I think he should just go through travel agent to avoid any confussion. also just to share my personal experience when my family was leaving for pak in March this year from Toronto I was the one who was dealing with PIA over the counter eventhough I was not traveling. I was the one who passed them all the passports and I was the one who collected the bording pass for my family. Pia didnt even aksed any of my family member to come forward instead of me. So the point is that DO NOT TAKE STRESS AND MAKE THINGS COMPLICATED FOR YOU JUST GO THROUGH TRAVEL AGENT.

If you are referring to my post then please read my post again so you may get the drift as I quoted: Thats why I said not to give P.R card so quikly They should give temporary visa for 5 or 7 years and then give permanent residency. This is what I wrote not to give permanent resident card that quick.
If the Gov't make those rules then there would be hardly anyone to wait this long to stay married and then seperation takes 1 year and then they would go for divorce and after that marry someone else. this whole process would take quite a long time. So whoever plan something stupid would say kon jeeta hay teri zulf k sar hone tak.

No Swera, This article in yahoo was not about any pakistani people marrying filipino But rather a general problem where our canadian Gov't made those stupid rules and don't know how to handle the immigration problem I think they should just follow their big brother (USA) in this policy as well, because usa does not give permanent residence for at least two years or more and then the couple have to apply for that by both signing the application before someone can get permanent residency.

Secondly that guy married a falipino women mostly if they couldn't find Muslim women interested on them well a big difference between culture ... What a impact on kids.... You are right about most guys from our country if they don't have papers so they will marry anyone from a different back ground in order to get the papers, but of course if they marry someone from other culture then they have to face the consequences.

What do I think that CIC has given enough tym for spouses to understand each other ... Nobody is kid here they know what right n wrong ... Their must b a trust if somebody don't so CIC given option before decesion has been made u been qualify to withdraw...
