That means I won't be able to buy the ticket for my wife when she would travel from pakistan to canada: how sad ( as a matter of fact this is just terrible)

BTW I just called a Travel agent ( Air Wing Travel) and found out that they just sent ticket to pakistan for their relatives and there is no problem buying ticket for anyone through PIA. If anyone wants to confirm then you can call any travel agent in your area or here is the phone number for Air Wing travel 905-272-2300 and I spoke to Zia Khokhar the owner of that travel Agency.

I also contacted my travel agent and they told me there is no such change. Also I work for TD and I deal with visa closely and there is no such change request issued by visa international....airlines cannot make that an issue unless its a rule made by visa international.

so no one should stressed out as I just booked 4 return tickets for PIA on my dad's card and it has gone through. Its illegal for an airline to impliment this rule as a consumer I have full right to use my visa the way I like and book anyone's ticket on it. for example if I am employer I can even do it for my employee and send them on a trip. However if I am using someone visa without thier authrization then it becomes fraud and your financial instituation will deal with puting dispute on it but airline should not have any conern with it waht so ever.

I called again to PIA centre and some other person attended the call and this time they said that if u buy it online from web then in that case u can't use hubby's card but u got it through travel agency so in ur ticket every thing is fine in our record...They r confusing me!

so if they are saying that it cant be done on ther website may be they are right only about that becuase its their website and in order to prevent farud a company can choose to have this policy ONLY FOR ONLINE PURCHASE on merchant site but as I said again there is no such rule inplace by VISA so its perfectly fine if someone is going through travle agent becuase travel agent will verify and get authrization from card holder before they even proceed which will prevent faurd. so for example my travel agent emailed me authrization form which I handover to me dad for him to sign that he is giving is consent and then I send it back to my agent and everything is fine you should do the same if anything

Guys I need help again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My hubby is going to buy ticket for me from PIA. He wants to buy it from canada ..He has his travel agent there..And he is going to make payment through his own credit card ....But my uncle is saying that he can't use his credit card to buy ur ticket bc according to some new rules a person travelling she/ he should buy their own ticket with own credit card if he is 18 years....................or make cash payment other wise in canada airport they will ask for cash payment and will not accept the ticket even if ur family names match and u hv clearance of payment ..Is this true or he is bothering me ..He says that he has seen many cases in recent days.
Any body here hv heard abt this???????????

no thats not true ,,your travel agent is right. i use to work as travel agent in USA..airport people never ask you about the payment.
they only ask about payment when your ticket is not paid or travel agiant put some remarks on ur ticket about payment which you can't see but in their system they can see.. never trust PIA call center because i also use to work there agents over there wont get full information by the pia administraation. basically call center is not a part of pia its out source.

so dont worry let your husband buy it for you

this is confusing.
just make sure you have everything sort out before anyone buys a ticket for you.

btw, how much is for one way ticket, if someone wants it pay it in ruppees in pakistan?

U have to pass the exam then only u qualify for license.

U need to surrender ur American license then only u can get licence in canada without road test.
