I have a freind who did his sponsorship from pakistan and his was approved in 4 to 5 months.

im not sure if that unique case. His spouse was in pakistan, seemed to be straightforward case.... don't know details of his case but... there are no guarrantees with immigration as you can read..

PR application sent to CPC-M -13/02/2009
PR application receieved - 20/02/2009
PR application approved - 13/03/2009
Quebec Selection Certificate approved - 31/03/2009
PR application sent to ISB embassy - 13/03/2009
PR application process started at ISB - 21/04/2009
additional information asked - 27/07/2009
Additional information asked again - 15/10/2009
still waiting 4 letter to ask my passport at present just IN PROCESS 4 ur info the only thing which i think is hurdle in my way or u can say taking more time is my service details as i hv served in Pakistan Army so i think dats why they asked me 4 additional information otherwise i hv submitted all the documents completely in beggining including my medical etc etc.......................hope so wil b informatic 4 u @ peacemaker

so i finally decided to register .
i am sponsoring my husband from pakistan and this forum has helped me ALOT with many questions.
heres my timeline
Application received by CPC-M             28/10/2009
processed/Decision made/letter sent     12/11/2009

apparently the mailing address they have on file for me is of house we lived in when we first came to Canada. 0_0. so dont think i am getting the letter anytime soon. i did try to change it online tho. but when i log in again it still says the old one. i guess i need to call them.

Hello everyone here is my time lline - File is tranferd to CHC Islamabd.. now waiting game--------

Got the letter couple of days ago and it says the file was transferred to islamabad on 12th november.
Also, it says application
"has been found to meet minimum requirements for completeness under the imigration act, the visa office may, where necessary, request additional documents and information from your relative."
I submitted pretty much everything i could. pictures, emails, phone bill, tickets copy, etc etc..
just wondering if anybody else got this? Also, should i wait if they ask us for more documents? or dont wait and send in more recent emails and phone bills?

That's the sponsorship approval letter. I think it's a form letter. We got the same thing. It's good news.
