thanks, i was hoping for more specific dates but i guess this will do. it seems that they took the decision within 2 months of ppr+remed requested dates. in my case it was june 13, hopefully by mid aug i will hear something good Inshallah

The Remed and PPR letter was dated May but she didn't get it till June. After that it's been a very quick turnaround (Mashallah). She did her Remed in June and I started checking ECAS in Mid July and I saw the medical note being Recieved and today it turned to Decision made.

I can't tell when the medical was Recieved exactly because looking at ECAS everyday was driving me crazy.

Canada will amend their immigration law by following UK immigration reform as soon as they can and then it would be really hard for some people to sponsor from Canada.

guys...i have a question and i wud really appreciate ur input...
so, i've noticed that to sponsor spouse there is NO MINIMUM INCOME REQUIREMENT...so does that mean that its ok for you to sponsor your spouse even if you DONT have a job...or LOST your job half way thru since u filed ur sponsorship applciation?? like i mean u were employed when u were evaluatied as a sponsor but 16 months later or so...u went out of work...and ur file was still in process...

You are lucky to do so at the moment because it may change very soon. Then they would not only require sponsor to make certain amount of money but also the sponsored have to know english or french plus when they come to canada they would not be getting the immigration paper for few years and on the top of that Canadian Gov't would see see how the family has settled here & contribute to the economy and not being burden on the country. So don't worry be happy you are the lucky one so far because Canada has not implemented those new rules yet. it would be just a matter of time when they will be following UK.

I do not believe so, they can sit on a file without any reasons and some can relate it to their GCMS notes. However ordering 3 times is little too much. Once you know what's on ur file e.g. interview status etc.; u are good to go.

So far none of the oldies on the forum have said so from experience. In my wife's case, they did not do anything unless I order GCMS notes. This is how I feel. The papers they should have sent in Feb/Mar, they sent in July and after I ordered GCMS.

I have ordered again and let's see. ;D
