Hi Everyone,

I am a 2010 case as well, sponsoring my husband. I am seeing that they are processing 2011 cases and 2010 is still waiting and I have known so many people who applied in 2011 and their husbands are here. Is there anything we can do about this? we should join together and try to do something because this is too much its been almost 3 years that I am waiting and they still give me the "still in process" s**t.

my MP didnt help either.

Below is the email i received today. How much more do i have to wait. And what request letter they are talking about.

Your application is currently in process and is in queue for review by an immigration officer. Medical examination letter along with a request letter would be sent out in coming days.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

OK someone suggested that I should appeal and then send my wife to Canada where she would live and work. At the time of her hearing that would be somewhere between 12-18 months she would have evidence she is living in Canada since long and now has definite ties with this country. If i reapply it would be starting from scratch and it would take another 2 years any way so appealing and moving to Canada un till the appeal is heard and they are convinced my case would be on track again. What do you guys think??

This is what I also tried to explain to Doost because there is no use appealing that case and lawyer would sure like to make money but at the end the decision would be that his wife has to apply again. so why waste money at the first place. We can only warn and guide him but if he decides to appeal that then it would be up to him.

ohh thanks for the update brother... shukar alhumdullilah !!!

Re applying would be a better idea since 2011 cases are getting completed 9- 14 months

Re: Spouse sponsorship refusal

Dear CVIF,

I submitted them re-ppc, new forms, residency questionaire, forms of pakistani nationals. On my re-medical that had pasted my wife's photograph by mistake which I sent back for correction. As for the second part of your queries, my wife didnt study work but she did have bank account which she didnt maintain since 2008. She came to Pakistan early 2009 and never went back. We got married in 2010.
So we dont have recent ties as such with Canada. Had i Known I need to have some ties with Canada I would have visited sent her off and on for visits. While I was filing it was mentioned on the forms that even if a citizen is not residing in Canada but can show he/she has definite plans of relocatting to Canada he/she can sponsor family. Accordingly I had done all the paperwork.

Anyway, I was suggested that I should appeal and send my wife to Canada so that she starts building her ties with the country. Even if she doesnt work if she is living there, paying bills, renting/owning an apartment etc - that should convince the members at the hearing that now she is living here and the scenario is changed. We could win the appeal and my case would get my case back on track. The appeal could take as long 15-18 months and reapplying again would take 2 years plus so appealing would be somewhat quicker. What do you think with the idea?

Secondly, how many chances do I have for a visitor visa If i plan to accompany my wife in a few months to help her settle again? Are they few since my case was refused?

Cheers

I am feel sorry for you. I pray for you that God will Help you to come over from this problem. If you do not mind could you please let us know if you have received Re-Medical, Re-PPC, New Form to fill, and Residency Questionnaire, and forms for Pakistan Nationals before getting this decision ?

We will appreciate you for your response. I am also agree with other respect forum members that your spouse should go back now and re-apply for you.

Few More questions to clarify:-

1- Have you submit any documents that shows ties of your spouse to Canada i.e. Cell phone or home bills under her name, bank accounts in Canada under her name and active, does she showed filled Tax Receipts under her and your name to the Canada Revenue Agency or any other document that shows her ties to Canada i.e. School, college, or university admission letters or job letters?

We will really appreciate you for your early response. I or someone else might guide you after getting your response of your questions.....

Thanks and Regards,
CVIF
