CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2009 -2010

In the past year, a few applicants sent PCC voluntraily in the later stages of processing and as a result CHC-Islamabad did another background check on the applicant. They thought it would speed up their processing time as the PCC would show no records of criminal activity etc etc. But instead CHC- Islamabad ran background check again through the agency and it took 45-90 days or in some cases 120 days as well for the results to come back. So this is how their processing time increased. They found out when they ordered CAIPS wondering why it was taking them so long for PPR and in some cases Visa with the passport.

Also some people sent supporting documents voluntraily after the initial review was done, thinking that it would speed up the process. As a result, their files were put back in the reivew queue for assessment although their relationship was considered legit and satisfactory at the time of initial review. When CHC-Islamabad would require something from you, they will send you a request and ask for it. I hope people would be smart and learn from others experience and mistakes and not repeat these mistakes.

I have also sponsered my hasbund, AOR is Jan 2011. I did not know about this forum & just found out today that this forum exits too. lol so excited . I see alot of people have same question as I do. My ecas has changed to (IN PROCESS) We started processing your file in Feb 05/2012. When do I expect paper work from CHC? I am very concerned becuase my hasbund lives in Afghanistan and I do not know how safe or accurate the addresses in Afghanistan are. Or the postal service I would say? Can anyone answer this for me. Thanks alot in advance. If they send me something when do I expect it??? Thanksssssssss

It has been 11 months since your file transfer. If I was you, I would wait for CHC-I to ask me for these. Remember it takes them 4 weeks to attach the documents to the file. so If you send these now, they will be attached end of March. As far as I know, they have picked up the pace in the last few days and have started doing initial reviews right after 12 months or so. I even saw a couple of people with Feb and March file transfer having updates on their E-case i.e. "In Process" started processing your case on Feb 14th etc, so it would be a very close call if you send everything now. If you sent some documents in January, i would say wait for their request for Re-PCC and Re-medical. But again, its totally upto you how you want to approach it. Basically if you do it now, its 50/50.

Your timeline is very close to mine and I have the same updates on E-case, the only difference is that I am sponsoring my wife. I am expecting CHC-Islambad to send IMM forms and Re-PCC request with in the next 2-3 weeks or so InshaAllah. The last update I got was from a Jan 13th file transfer who got IMM forms and Re-PCC request so I am hoping they would send it soon InshaAllah. As far as the address in Afghanistan is concerned, we have seen quite a few people from there receive letters from CHC-islambad so you shouldn`t be too worried.

Hey! I have also sponsored my husband who is living in Mazar, Afghanistan. We have similar timelines (Jan 2011 AOR). When my husband received re-medical request, the post office in Afghanistan called my husband's cell phone to tell him there is a letter he needs to come and pick up. So my husband had to go to the post office to pick it up. Hopefully they will call your husband too - I don't like to rely on the post office to try and find my husband's house - you know how all the addresses are messed up! InshaAllah you will hear from them soon

P.S. The letter was dated 2.5 weeks prior to the call from the post office...
