and what is happening with the flights :)
My cousin traveled from Toronto to Karachi 3 weeks ago nothing went wrong with him his flight was just 16 hours late.

Bhai jaan, Mike ko post marriage visit kerney dena hey yaa nahi ..... buksh do PIA ko :P

I just came back from Pakistan in December and flight was delayed for 2 days. I also experienced two days of delay couple of years ago when I went to Pakistan. The only reason I take pia is because no other air line flies direct but stop somewhere for many hours. Otherwise I would never travel with pia.

For all u ziddi bacchas out there The News Article dated 28th December

KARACHI: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees have refused to serve on the leased aircraft and demanded that the management bring its own fleet into operation.

“PIA flights operation is still facing difficulties maintaining flight punctuality as deliberate shortage of aircraft was created by management to justify acquisition of aircraft on wet lease,” a spokesman for the employees' Joint Action Committee said in a statement.

The spokesman said that the management was bent on causing more and more damage, both administratively and financially, as it had again decided to acquire Airbus A320s on lease along with operating cockpit and cabin crew.

He said that officially the management was denying a deal for Airbus A320s, but it was seeking permission from Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for certification just as it did when it denied Boeing 747 from Hellenic initially for Hajj season, but later tried to prove having extreme benefits from the same.

The employee unions and representatives had advised the management that if more aircraft were needed after bringing PIA's own fleet into operations, it should opt for Boeing 737s which were already in service in PIA and the airline had full HR and technical strength for operating them. Priority should be to make PIA's own fleet serviceable which could save millions of dollars, they said.

“Cancellation of around 1,200 PIA flights between August and November inflicted a loss of around Rs410 million to the airline which was one of the management's tactics to pave the way for leasing two Airbus A320,” the statement added. He said that there were 13 aircraft still grounded at PIA engineering department for want of engines, equipment and spare parts.

Among the grounded aircraft, there are Boenig-747s having multiple requirements, including engine installations and shakedown inspections. One Boeing 777 needs full painting works on its body to be airworthy.

There are three Boeing-737 aircraft also grounded. Besides Check-D and Shakedown inspections are also needed. Three grounded Airbus need engine change, Check A and D process. Two ATR planes need replacement of different spare parts with shakedown inspection and installation of two engines.

It all depends on whats important to you. If you are the chatter type and don't care about resting/sleeping on the plane, flight delay doesn't bother you, then PIA is meant for you. If you prefer top notch service, sleeping/rest on the plane, prefer transit stops then you are better off with Emirates.

A general comment regarding Emirates... if the connection time from Dubai to Pakistan is more than 8 hours, Emirates will actually arrange hotel accomodation in Dubai for you for the duration and give you a complimentary coupon for meals :) I experienced this service last year, and I totally appreciated it. I was able to rest, take shower etc. The hotel wasn't exactly five star, but it was pretty good and the dinner was a buffet with a wide variety of food items.

Thanks Everybody for all of your supportive answers.

ALLAH BLESS ALL OF YOU.

Friends, do any one know from where in Toronto to stamp the list of goods and things which will follow later. My wife, tried to get the list stamped at the airport but the custom officer was an idiot.

Congrats on the first request letter.

They are asking you to send updated proof of relationship since OCT 2010.

Also, most of the applicants get this updated forms request; just copy those from the photocopies you have if you filled them correctly and add the period from the date of the application till the current date.

Not sure why they are asking you to send wedding/honeymoon pictures, did you send it to them with the original application or did you send it later as voluntraily proof?

inko sab forms DOOBARA fill kar k do, kaam aasan hojyga..personal history change hojati hai ek saal mai wo batana hai especially k kia kiya is time mai. gap na ho kisi activity mai date ka. nikah nama klye likh do k day dia hai. reply every bullet they have asked

BLOOMINGFLOWER:

Ordinary passport fee is CAD$66.00 and takes about two weeks max.
Urgent Passport fee is: CAD$175.00 and it can issued between 3 to 5 business days.

Staff at Consulate General of Pakistan office in Toronto are really nice and professional and I always received my renewed passport on time without any hassle.

Thanks

UOC,

You can try your luck at CIC office in University Avenue in Downtown Toronto. Alternatively you can try CIC Mississuaga office as well. Try to check with Canada Customs why your wife's passport was not stamped at the airport? Try calling them.

Thanks

Can somebody show me the letters sample from islamabad.

Thanks
