Dear fellow members,
I have a few questions, which I would request you to kindly respond to help me out please. Before I jot down my questions, let me just brief you about my status. I am a recent landed Canadian immigrant under the fast track but I am back to Pakistan after getting my PR Card and intend to leave for Canada in few months. While submitting my immigration application, due to some uncertainties as to when I would finally move to Canada and few financial matters, I mentioned my wife and one child (3.5 year old now) as non-accompanying members but I did mention that they will be applied after my own application is finalized. I also gave them a reason that I would sponsor them so that by the time I am settled in Canada, my family sponsorship application is finalized by immigration authorities. I had initially thought that it would take them only 6 months to finalize the case, but I was wrong. I am now regretting my decision. CHC-I required all the educational documents of my wife, medical of my wife and kid and police certificates as well, which were duly complied. They also required proof of funds based on 3 family members, which I did. I initially thought that they would require only one person based proof of funds, but I was wrong. However, I was lucky in the sense that I had enough amount to prove sufficiency of funds at that point of time. After I got my PR Card recently, second baby was born to us, which was informed to CHC-I as well.
My questions would follow hereunder with a request to kindly reply please.
1.Would CHC-I require me to prove additional funds / bank balance to prove sufficiency of funds for 4 family members owing to my new baby born to us recently?
2.Would I be required to prove income requirement given following, as given on the CIC's website. I think, this would not be applicable to me, while I would submit my application from Canada, as I have already proved the sufficiency of funds.
•you have an income that is at least equal to the minimum necessary income, the amount of which is published yearly by the Canadian government. You will have to provide us with documents that show your financial resources for the past 12 months and prove you are financially able to sponsor members of the family class. This condition does not apply if you are sponsoring only
a.your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner who has no dependent children, or
b.your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner whose dependent children have no children of their own, or
c.your dependent child who has no children of his or her own
3.One of the sponsorship forms requires to mention if you, as sponsor, are un-employed and in which case, it also requires to prove as to how I would sponsor my family. In such a case when I have already proved my funds, would this be a matter of concern for immigration authorities if I remain un-employed while I submit my application for family sponsorship?
All the very best to you.
Thanks in advance.
