Hi coming back after some time to post updates:

Got medical done on 30 Oct and medical sent to Delhi on 3 Nov.
Medical Received around 26 Nov. 3 weeks later.

Application for my son's Canadian passport submitted on 19 Nov. Accepted.
PPR for wife send on 12 Nov.

Waiting for wife's PPR.


How long does it take for passport to come back after medical is received on ecase? Any idea folks.

Mera Ecase status too change nahee howa, wohee in process hi hay, but meara address change howa, abee cnadian address ki jagaa pakistani address likha howa ataa hay,
Mian nain apnay pasport kay saath flight reservation 14 December ki baji thee, hope uss say pehlay mera passport wapis aa jaye ga. In sha Allah

No, I did not get a date. Actually I didn't get any official correspondence from CIC stating that I'm in interview queue. I just understood that from my GCMS notes 3 months ago.

But I do have an interesting update for you. A friend of mine applied in May 2010 and his was also a Nikah only case. They took his wife's interview last week and spoke to him as well on the phone. The questions were very simple. The wife told them that Rukhsati is planned at the end of this month and requested them to issue a visa before then so that they could come to Canada together. The VO was nice enough to agree and issued a remedial + per ALHAMDOLILLAH! In other words they didn't feel the need to wait for Rukhsati...
