Agar sponsor Canadian citizen ho tau baby by birth Canadian born in foreign country hoga. Aur uskay paper work main ziada time nahi lagta.

Lekin agar sponsor Permanent resident ho, tau phir baby ko application per add kerwana perta hai, aur us main 6-10 months extra bhi lag saktay hain.

canadian citizen means person who lives in canada and permanent residence means applicant who is in pakistan right? Plx explain it clearly i cant understand it

You get PR status when once you land in Canada. Later after two years you have to take citizenship exam, and if you pass that you become a canadian citizen.

Canadian citizen means a person who has got his citizenship in Canada. When a person lands in Canada on an immigraiton visa with the intention to reside in Canada, he/she becomes a permanent resident of Canada. It takes about 4 years to attain Canadian citizenship for that permanent resident. The citizenship is attained by writing a test. Hope its clear now !

Medical examination letter was sent out to applicant on 07 August 2012 and we still await medical examination request letter.

I got this rply from embassy. I have done my medical on august 17 but they r still saying that they r waiting for my medical what does it mean??? Plz anyone can u tell me

Don't worry about that. They take their time to process and update medical results. These days it is taking upto 2.5 months for some cases to be updated.

Also worth point out that we received in this reply of medical not being received the statment quoted below...
"Greetings from Islamabad,

This is in response to your email (see below).

Thank you for your email. Please be advised that this application is currently in process and is waiting to be reviewed by a decision-making officer. After this review, the file will be pushed to the next stage of processing. In compliance with the department's commitment to the "first in, first out" policy, we process cases in the order they are received as our office. Application would be reviewed upon it turn in queue. Medical examination letter was sent out to applicant on August 2012 and we still await medical examination request letter.

Your representations in this case have been noted and will be taken into consideration when the application is reviewed. "

InshAllah this means her interview has been cancelled and they are awaiting the medical results that she had done in August. Also have asked my MP's office to ask what the meaning of First in First out is, regarding does it mean for which queue the file is or the time the file was sent to Islamabad.

I spoke with my MP's office again this afternoon regarding the first-in first-out question. She said she made contact with a contact at CIC and asked for an interpretation of the reponse she received from Islamabad on our behalf.
The CIC representative said to her that as much as they attempt to process applicants on a first-in first-out, applications can be delayed in different stages awaiting completion of specific elements such as interview, backround checks etc. She was not specific if an older application previously delayed on a specific element would be bumped to the front of the next stage of processing. I would be delighted if that was the case but have no confidence that it is. Can anyone add clarity to if older applications are bumped ahead during next stage or not?

For our case it looks like we were delayed in interview queue for 1.5 years and now awaiting review from decision making officer which may include results from backround checks. Been told to follow up with MP's office by representative in one month if we havent received correspondence from Islamabad, however they are inquiring to why our medical has not been received.

INSHALLAH we will receive correspondence first.
