Small update from my side:

I just checked E-case and it now shows medical received

Looking forward for "Decision Made" and Visa with passport... InshaAllah very soon

Hey guys from 2010 timeline (specially Oct, Nov, Dec) please update the info.. we need it to know the real status and to know what's going on..

Still waiting on Re-med and PPR. 18.5 months since we applied. Wife case and my signature info will give you the update -- only form request in April 20 something.

Feeling meh right now.

Oright don't e-mail them nor case specific inq it will delay the case.I suppose u wont get the medical request as there is new rule as cic update ure medical for next 12months & u might be getting ure ppr v soon.As for my information if u e-mail or do case specific inq ure case got delay as they put ure file in deeper Que.So better 2 wait & u r almost there as u r wife case.Which almost tk 18months or so.

I thought that too but as Danny and Khal pointed out, my wife did her medical in October 2010, which is greater than 15 months. I think they did that rule so they could process 2011 quickly but were finding that most were hitting the 12 month mark, so they pushed it to 15 months.

Really hating CIC / CHC-ISB for taking their sweet time with 2010 yet process 2011 to meet medical deadline.

Please note, above is my speculation, reasoning to control my emotions and by some time until file actually gets processed.

The new rule, as I have read from this site, says that it is extended if the old medical is done 15 months before 1 June. Dec 2010 time line guys have done medical around Oct 2010 i.e. 19 months ago. So it does not apply to these pitiable people. They are waiting while others are almost done who applied in 2011. :'(

lol @ speculating comment. No one here knows anything on how they process applications. We all speculate. Some go for early medicals to speed up process only to find CHC requests them again, others avoid contact thinking it will move their file in queue, some gamble on visa quotas for the month, some project whose case will be done next etc etc.

Except for news / file update, all comments are speculations or entertainment

I know.. its such a relief for me. I was getting worried as a few people who did medicals 3 weeks after my wife got their E-case updated, and I was getting nervous.. But Alhumdulillah thats taken care of. Now looking forward for Decision made and Visa on passport with landing papers

Actually i been told from our lawyer she told my spouse in Canada if u e-mail them or do case specific inquiry it will delay the case.I dont think tht's speculation as its written on cic webiste tht if u do same inquiry again ure case will be delayed.So hv patience & contact cic only if u need change of address,child birth or any new information.U should be last person 2 contact with cic tht's wht i been told by the lawyer who had got almost 20 + exp.

Let me correct you there... Emailing once every 2-3 months doesn't effect your case. If you email them 2-3 times a month, then it can delay your case. But if the emails are 45-60 days apart when the file is in process then it doesn't hurt you.

soorry i dont understand...
my husband did his first medical on oct-november 2010 and i applied for sponsorship on May 18 2011... so what does tht mean?

i know medical expires in 1 year from the time done, so i know my husbands medical is expired but i still havent heard anything from chc.
