congrats Yasir brother! Very happy for you. When 2010's get their ppr or visa, it gives me hope! ;)

I need some advice from everyone. My husband is planning on quitting his job in Riyadh and moving back to Karachi to be with his mom until PPR comes. Considering his file transfer was in December, one would THINK it would be here by now but alas. So what do you guys think, how much longer do you think it will be? Because if he's going back to Karachi then Im going to Karachi too. Just started a new job, but thats okay, Ill quit or take exceptional leave. My Associate is very understanding.

Im just not in the mood to stay in Karachi longer than a month... Im not used to it and it kind of drives me crazy after a few weeks, the lifestyle is so ...loud. Plus aana jaana and rishtidariyan nibhana and mehman nawaazi, its so unstructured lol. He has a few exams he wants to write so he'll be studying mostly while looking for a job somewhere close-by and in DHA so he doesnt have to travel too much each day out of the locality.

I really really really want to be with him and I would love to go and live with him as we havent had more than a few weeks at a time together since we got married (maybe two months total, in bits and pieces).

But do you think its a wise move? I know I should do istikhara because its a big decision, him quitting his job and me quitting mine. I mean who knows how many more months this could take. It could be 2 months or it could be six months. We could end up just sitting around there but I think it would be okay because at least we'd be living together.

Does that negatively impact the case? If the sponsor goes back to live with their spouse? Would they raise any sort of objection on that? On what grounds?

my timeline is just like urs ... inshAllah we ll b gettin ppr sooon ... its already been 3 months since v hav sent out our re med ... june will bring happy news for us i believe n prayin for all of us

ok i just went through the complete Google spread sheet.......there was a wife whose PP was returned after 5 months......and another one whose PP was retured in 4 months.......not sure if they were PPR+ReMed+RPRF cases OR just PPR+ReMed ones
but what i've noticed in the list is that they take 1-3 months to return PP back with visa in case you get PPR+ReMed.....the average time is like 2 months......so naturally your PP does not qualify to be stamped in 2 months
you may have to wait upto a month before you can get your PP........it's sad to say that you may not be able to celebrate your BD with your husband
let's hope you get your visa in June......Insh'Allah :)

Some times they do background checks after PPR if not done previously so it can take time. Previously is was around 45days for only PPR and 3 months for PPR with medical but for last 5 months what I am seeing is normally people are getting passport back in at max 20 days and PPR with medical in like40 days.

Is that true? Earlier I know there were local VOs. Who processes the immigration files now, are they local VOs or Canadian?
