Mostly they let u know about interview from email inquiry.
Very few cases found about interview from caips.
Most of the time caips doesn't tell u the reason of interview, only people who had objection of marriage not genuine had reason mentioned in Caips for rest nothing.
Regarding visit visa i would suggest first see if the file is in interview queue or not if it is in interview queue then go ahead and apply for TRV and if it is not then it is better not to apply for TRV.

Thanks bestplace4u, yes thats exactly what I am thinking. As I run my own business I can't really close it and live in Pakistan so my wife and I were planing to apply for TRV if they send her file in interview queue.

Maybe its a stupid question, but do you know which email address to use to contact them. And if there is any protocol to follow other then mentioning the 1 - File Number 2 - Applicant full name and 3 - Applicant date of birth.

Thanks for your advice again!

Found out from CAIPS last year, and on recent email by their response. If you applied for CAIPS three weeks ago, you will receive them before any email you send.
On CAIPS it showed ... "send to interview" in summary and also the BFD is INT

Thanks CanPak05, I have read here that first time anyone apply for CAIPS it cake take month and a half before getting any reply. So that means I will get the reply in end of March. I am sure they will reply to our email before that, right?

I received my first CAIPS request in 4 weeks and that was through a postal request for CAIPS and email of report. But sending an email is also good as 2 shots are better than 1 :)

I sent all my inquiries using their online form from the link when you go to Islamabads office information on the CIC website. Requested my wifes info as the sponsor.

Cool, thanks. I am gonna write an email and send it to my wife so she can request the info on her file, just to keep things simple.

lol I am the poor husband being sponsored by my wife, yes she knows and she has no issue in coming back to Pakistan and live with me. She just want me to give it a final try at interview if it doesn't work no complaints she will move back.

try calling bak on the num they called from?? isnt there any way to complain when it comes down to lost documents from THR END!?
I can imagine how u feel....
Inn Shaa Allah ull get ur letter soon!

Caller Id only showed half number, i guess due to security reason their half number was visible to me, like the number from which he called was 0512086. I cannot call this number.

I called the other number (the one on the website) but they said they do not provide information regarding immigration/applicant file on phone. The only way to contact immigration dept is through Email or FAX.

I have tried everything but.... :(
