I am hoping that people living in Alberta could help me sort this out. I understand that in Alberta there is no waiting time of 3 months as in BC and ON to receive the medical insurance. But I am told if a person moves from out of the province then he/she will have 3 months waiting period. Consider a situation where one spouse is already living in Ontario and the other is immigrating to Canada. If both then move to alberta once the spouse living outside Canada arrives in Canada then will there still be a waiting time for both? As I understand that families need to apply together for Alberta Health Insurance.

Also, they require documents to prove Alberta residency before you can be registered. What documents are needed and are fast to obtain? It seems like drivers license, Alberta ID take some time. A bank statement can take as long as one month. Please advise.

there is a three months hold time ... if u wanna get a drivers license .......... or medical insurance but ...... first thing ........ during that time ur ontario insurance works .............. ur Ontario drivers license works ............... jus giv ur friends address for at least one utility bill .......... 3 months ahead of ur moving and ur good to go ....

but i would say file taxes in Ontario ....... coz u paid more u will get more ........ chill

on 1 nov my address ws disappeared on ECAS . n i started waiting my PPR bt now i recieved mail from ecas tracker n my address is re appeared , wat is dis , wat it really means plz tell me . NO PPR or cn still wait for PPR , worried alot plz help

Best thing would be ........... go to Canadian tire ..... get this battery tester ....

and driver ur car for an hour ....... park it ... switch ur ignition off .... test ur battery ... you battery should be charged really good or simplest with no expense too lol .... get it tested from AMA if any of ur friends have membership .......ask them to test the batter but after u have driven for an hour .... they will tell u to change ur alternator ....... if it does not then for sure alternator is not giving it the power to store .......

About changing alternator .................the cost for alternator itself is 240$ ................ for installations u can talk to this guy 780-782-9056 he is not a certified mechanic but i have a fix rate with him for 60$ per installation .... or you can talk to any mechanic and check their prices ....... check with Wilson's Auto Tech in Edmonton .......... they are usually lower rates too comparatively ..........

mine disapeared on 8th nov (when i checked after nov 4rth), and today it apeared again,,, let hope for something good...
and
i send them email on 4rth for update but still waiting for reply,,, what you people think is going inthere (in CHC).

Hello everyone,

I am still new to this forum. I really appreciate everyones feedback and responses as it greatly helps me and others who have similar issues.

Few questions:

1. My Husband did his re-medical in Sept 2011, any spouses of those who did re-medical in September have gotten thier Passport request and/or visa? Or is islamabad only working on those ppl who did re-meds in august? itsbeen 7 weeks since remeds, dont they send the ppl request after 4 weeks?

2. how long is it currently taking islamabad to reply back on email? All 15 days or less?

3. some people have mentioned that their address is missing on e-case? what do you mean? is this is in islamabad or on another organizations online status.
anyone use 'TRACK IT' ON CANADAVISA.com? how effective is that?

my update since more than 16 months still says IN PROCESS. should i use the above site instead?
