I don't know why its taking so long though. I have sent all the documents including phone logs, calling cards, gift receipts, wedding pictures, family pictures, pictures from before the wedding. I have even sent them pictures of when me and my wife went on holidays after the wedding. Its a straight forward case but still they are taking so long.

dude mine is more straight case than u...i hav a son and i sent them all pics of me n hubby with our son etc...phone bills pics everything..still they r too lazy

The Government of Canada will keep Canada's immigration levels the same next year, for 2011. The government says its goal is to take in between 240,000 and 265,000 new permanent residents next year—the same target as for 2009 and 2010. Immigration Minister Jason Kenney says, "Canada's post-recession economy demands a high level of legal immigration to keep our workforce strong.”

The Canadian provinces are going to take on a larger role in selecting economic immigrants. As the number of newcomers in the Federal Skilled Worker class declines, the number of newcomers nominated through the province nomination programs will rise. It is predicted that Canada will require about 350,000 immigrants each year by 2030 in order to keep the workforce growing.

For 2011, the federal government is going to increase the target for spouses and children to 48,000 — an increase from the 45,000 in 2010.

The federal government is also committing to a 100% increase to the number of refugees Canada resettles from overseas refugee camps

The focus now is on settlement programs and resources to help newcomers integrate more effectively so the Canadian workforce can benefit fully from the training and expertise of these newcomers to Canada.

that's sad how you even have a son now and they still are not considering it to put it in fast track or something. i wanted to know something that if lets say my passport is about to expire and the immigration people ask for my passport for visa, should i make new one and submit it with the old one or should i just send the old one??

i no its frustrating...our fie was started in aug nd its been 5 months!! and i feel like its too long so i ca only imagine how u feel...did u submit erything at once...or i mean did they have to request for some stuf and u submit it after...cuz htye say that also delays process...

nikah,reception and valima was done. i have sent pictures for every event. i sent all the documents in one go so they didnt ask me for more as i had included everything so i dont have to face any delays.

i maild them last mnth and after that i maild again but they didnt reply........did the reply urs one?when ur medical will expire?my mdcal will expire in March and police cer has been expird in april.......

Medical Validity is 1 year.

Police report is 6 Month

no nothing as yet. I did my PCC twicw and now it has expired too as well as my medical still waiting for their reply
