Hi Guys,

I was a silent reader here ... You all are doing great.

I sponsored my wife and Thanks to Allah, we got the PPR. Here is my timelines:

July 2010 - Application sent to Mississauga
August 2010 - Sponsorship approved by Mississauga
Sep 17, 2010 - CIC-ISL Started processing
Oct 1, 2010 - AOR with Supplementary Form
Oct 16, 2010 - Sent Supplementary Form with proof of contact
March, 2011 - Updated Police Certificate with more proof of contact
April, 2011 - Visit to Pakistan
May, 2011 - Sent proof of visit and more proof of contact
August 3, 2011 - Got letter for updated forms
August 17, 2011 - Sent updated forms with updated PCC and more proof of contact
August 24, 2011 - Re-medical request with date August 16, 2011 on the letter
August 27, 2011 - Re-medical done
August 27, 2011 - Sent proof that remedical is done
Sep 20, 2011 - PPR dated Sep 19, 2011

In my case, there were international travels as well. I know there is also a luck factor but please don't assume that if you have international travels, the background checks will take forever.

It is our job to provide them proper documents with valid travel reason and the PCCs from those countries. And if those countries are well developed, verifying the authenticity doesn't take long.

Thanks

Congratulations and wish you happy life ahead. I think your luck play a big role thus a good mood officer might have assigned to your file.
As far as providing proof I believe we all have provided proof at various times in professional manners.
With regards to travel I think every travel is done for a valid reason with valid documents and all that provided to CHC. We are innocent citizens and are not involved in that type of travel where ONE has to travel at night time and need to deliver "DIAMONDS" on sea port in a black suitcase. :)
What about if ONE does not have a travel history at all still they take long. (e.g. Wes Bro's wife case)

There's no better gift than flowers for a girl and specially if its your wife
Follow this link (http://www.pakistangiftonline.com) and you can choose from Offer 1 or Offer 2. They are delivering Holiday Inn cake. I think Offer 2 is fairly good with 2 dozen Red Roses and a cake.
Rest assure your wife will love this one specially if its a surprise on her Birthday. You can keep pending some good gift for later day when you will meet again. You guyz got married recently and must be having a collection of perfumes, but still a good perfume can be a gr8 choice. When your wife will be here you can get her a iPAD2 or might be by that time there will be iPAD3 :)
best of luck.

Thanks Guys.

All I wanted to say was the guess about different timelines is just a guess. As One 2 Ka 4 said, people without International Travels also see long delays in the background checks.

Another interesting point in my case is we did the re-medical on August 27 (Saturday). After Sunday there were at least two holidays for Eid and on the PPR letter which was issued on Sep 19, they wrote that "Medicals are valid till August 28, 2012. It seems like they already got the medical results. So again the guess about this timeline is different than my case.

In my case, there were also some other factors which were complicated but I don't want to share those. So all my friends, do your best, cover every smallest detail before they find that, hope for the best and pray for the best.

All my prayers are with you guys. Thanks,
