last time i requested caips it took exactly one month, this time since we have requested electronically I am guessing it is going to take 4-5 days less, as we are eliminating mail delivery times.


Seems like a long wait ahead :'(

I have also ordered online via email and they are taking the exact same time to get the CAIPS notes but the only time that is less is the mail delivery to and from Ottawa. Which can be good 15 days.

Its always 30 days from the date they receive it. So if they received your request on August 15, they will put a release date of Sept 14th on it + plust delivery time but now with the electronic application we save a few days. I sent my CAIPS request on July 3rd and that was received by the office on July 12th and my release date for the notes were August 11th so I called and asked them if I could get them faster and they said no its always 30 days from the request received so I put in a request to get them by email and I did on Aug 12th. However, please note if your notes have more than 15 pages then you won't receive them by email but rather by post. Hope this information helps a little.

Salam everyone.

I am new on this forum. I have been reading all the posts since one month but today i am getting in.
My husband has sponsored me in March 2010 and I received my AOR in June 2010.
I received RePCC and Re IMM in April 2011 and after that complete silence.
I just want to ask that:
What does initial review means?
When the apllication goes for background check?
One gets request for re-medical after completing background check? or it can be before that?
I am really under stress that why there is silent now and is there anyone else who is sufferring in the same situation like me, i mean complete silence after Re PCC and IMM.

Actually I was busy on weekend and as you know it's Ramadan kareem its hard to handle so many things .......yes I am exited ,but also scary of coming back alone call me before you leave coz urs is very near Inshallah some days left wowwwwwwwww you will visit ur hubby and Inshallah that you will come with lots of happiness and good news do update CHC and send them much more proof and pictures and boarding pass ticket copy pp copy best of luck keep me in your prayer

Hows everyone doin' today? I had a quick question; Does the CHC send all original documents that we submitted with our application back with the visa endorsed passport or do these documents arrive separately in mail? I am concerned because I have submitted my original degrees along with the application.
