Superman jiii , Please do not take extra gold.. I got lesson already my wife got into fight with customs for the gold and she is wearing almost 600 grams. She has to pay $ 4300 at the airport for the gold custom duty. So even if u tried to hide they will find out.

I thought you could take as much as you want if you are landing for the first time...

I have question regarding Gold, Would it be easy to clear customs with wedding gold, is anything required for clearance?

Thats correct 1st time u can take as much as u want but my case is diffrence my wife is Canadian citizen and i m CHC-ISB guest who is awaiting for PPR ;D

Did you pay the fees online at CIC website with credit card? If you did then receipt is instantly emailed to you.

Yes brother my wife submitted online but there is no email in my email account

Aray bhai, aap ko receipt right away email hujani chahiye thee and then you can print it...They won't send it to you by post. Aur agar aapne special request ki hai post ki tu I am afraid ke Canada Post is currently on strike and no mail is getting delivered until further notice

Well my wife will be coming to Canada with the gold, she does have the receipts there in urdu. Re-medical done 4may2011 waiting for her ppr.

Alright, it seems like she will be landing for the first time so then she can bring as much gold as she wants with no DUTY and she doesn't need to show anything for clearance so don't worry about it.

Ok then contact the call centre in Canada and request them to email you the receipt again, may be there was a typo and email wasn't delivered or something. Give that a try see if they email you the receipt again..
