Wes what is the scope of Pakistani Lawyers in Canada if they are successful in getting Licence to Practice in Canada? Are their enough jobs/scope for them?

He moved here for our future so we dont have to live in the country with no scope. His father(my grandfather) passed away when my dad was 10yrs old so he had to go through alot of hardships since he was a kid. When we moved here he was 43 but yeah as I said it took a while to adjust to the environment but we all did adjust after a while.

15 yrs in a restaurant yeah sure depends on the position you are working for and how much control you have over your spendings. Then you get promotions and if you are moved to a management position then sure they make quite a bit of money but still won't be a lot. Anything trade is the best field, I.e. welder, electrician, plumber, pipe fitter etc...

I don't know many people that are lawyers, however, if you get liscenced to work and have enough clients than its good money. But to establish a good name for a Pakistani lawyer is not going to be easy. There are a lot of different types of lawyers within the law department that you can go to so it depends whether its for criminal law, housing, different type of consultations etc...

Opening a business is not easy in Canada unless you are bringing about a million dollars with you. To get a loan from bank, you need to have a good credit history, and for a new immigrant the credit is zero when you land. For the trades you will have to study on apprentice programs first and earn your journeyman ticket and then you can open up your own company if you want.

Hi......Its been 25 days sending my passport to CHC ISLAMABAD but still the estatus is showing "IN PROCESS". The status of my case is IN PROCESS since 2004 and never changed.

I have sent my mother passport to chc isb on 12 October. Ecas still showing in process and haven't heard/received anything yet I have booked her flight on 23rd December. Let's see

I've recieved a telephone call from chc islamabad on 1st december and a lady was there on call .
She was saying that can i come for an interview on 7th or 12 dec(CHC Islamabad) and asked me that i will call u tomorrow for
confermation.But today is 9th she didn't call me again .Bhaio iss ka kia matlab hay mera remedical 16 march 2011 ko hua tha and i was expecting ppr.Dr munir and other forum members please share

You may send a fax letter to Isbad about the call you received. But why you did not confirm the date at the spot so that she would not had to call next day 8)

Our 1st Medical was in 2009 and 2nd in July 2011 : now waiting for next ;D

Actually i had some meetings with my head office but my consultant has sent an e-mail to them but no reply from there side.lakin bhai interview after two medicals?????Isnt it strange.

My first medical was in Nov 2009 and second was in feb 2011 and waiting for next, informed by CHC Islamabad in Nov 2011 that security checks are over now but no news after that.

I am also in similar situation as you are. My re-medical is about to expire in Mar'11. What is your Consultant's onion about CHC ISB completing case before expiry of re-medical? they should not be asking for third medical?

My second medical is valid till first week of March 2011, my security checks are completed. I was informed by CHC Islamabad on 09-12-11 "Your application is currently in process and is in queue for review by an immigration officer."
Lets hope and wait for turn that already taken more than 7 years.

Now i am in Calgary, Canada and start my new life. In Canada you learn new things everyday that's good. People are friendly especially Canadians and they help you as well. Life is totally different here in Canada as compare to Pakistan you really have to work hard here in Canada if you want to successful here. As far as weather is concerned its too cold but you can easily handle.

Job market is too bad here no jobs only odd jobs available.Most Pakistanis are doing odd jobs like driving Taxis(majority),Janitorial, Cook, Cashier....etc.

If you have very good job in Pakistan and you are earning good money think twice to come here because there is nothing for you . And if you are not doing well in Pakistan than Canada is good for you.

Canada is not a land of opportunity and HEAVEN(some people think in Pakistan).

Thanks for such information, but now I am really double minded whether to proceed with my immigration or not, do you think one cannot find a decent job or start a business?
