help plzmy husband visited last month to Pakistan. now I would like to send some addtional proofs photos, shopping receipts , ticket and other expenses proofs. what to write to the visa office.. plz tell me the format of letter. thanks Smiley
I'm not sure what percentage are affected by this but there have been several cases where members on this forum ordered their notes and found that it is the CIC requested background check in other countries where the application was delayed.steerpike said:As for the person who commented that it takes so long because some countries do slow background checks, i dont believe that is the cause of most delays in the system. But if it is, then a competant VO would recognise that and start working on getting that police clearance right away. I know in my job if i come across something that may take a long time and delay the rest of the project, i get started on that immediately. Its just basic job competance. I wonder why we don't expect that from public servents?

Wajea sister why don't you apply for the CAIPS notes, you will get the very exact information what is going on with your case even the remarks of the visa officers. I suggest you to apply for that.

would recommend checking out this thread, so you can ask this question to those in the same situation as yourself:Usmanali12 said:A o a,

Well said!!!! We need immigration!!steerpike said:Ridiculous. By that logic they could make everyone wait 10 years. Or 20 years. Or 100 years. Canadian citizens have the right to marry whoever they wish. While it may be necessary to put some restrictions on who is given a PR (criminals, cases of fraud, etc) they should only be denied if they can show some real reason for denying it.
Regardless of that, the applications should always be processed in a reasonable time-frame. Even MASS MURDERERS are guaranteed a speedily trial, but when it comes to simply looking at a police cert, marriage cert, and a few other documents, suddenly its acceptable for the government to take half a decade? Why?
Sponsors pay the full cost of the application process, Canadian tax-payers are not disadvantaged, there is ZERO excuse why it should take so long.
Because of the babyboom the demographics are skewed in Canad and the birthrate is too low to support a healthy economy and society.
From a purely selfish point of view, it is in Canadas best interest to have immigration (especially of younger people who will be starting families).
Every time CIC drags the process along for no reason they are harming Canadians and Canada itself.
It's the average time to finish 80% of the applications, it's not the average time it takes a typical application to finish. This means a majority of people will have their application done well before 32 months. You will only get 32 months if you have an interview, missing documents, etc. If you have a rock solid application, lots of relationship proof and communication, minimal red flags, all documents accounted for, well organized and thorough, paid your RPRF fee upfront and got your medical exam done upfront, you can expect your application to be done in about 10-14 months or so.ilovepvr said:The wait time of 32 months is just an estimated or average timeframe isn't it??
my friends wife was here within 11 months.
true... the processing times on the cic website are not a true indicator of the wait times for each visa office. there are offices that approve applications in less time, and the times listed seem to be the "average" for the most difficult of cases. it really depends on the visa office, so the best way to see the trend is to take a look at the spreadsheets created on this forum. Each month has a spreadsheet that tracks progress. i am not sure if each visa office thread does the same...ilovepvr said:The wait time of 32 months is just an estimated or average timeframe isn't it??

I personally think that your current processing time of 41 months is absurd, regardless of which country you are sponsoring from. If you haven't already, please try and contact your MP. Also, have you ordered your file notes to find out what the delay is caused by?Patience2010 said:I was born and raised in Canada. I applied for my wife to come to Canada on December 2010 and she still has not received her visa. I have been waiting longer than majority of everyone on this thread.
I have been waiting for more than 41 Months and I just wanted to say that I don't care if my wife gets her PR Card right away. I don't care if they don't give my wife the PR Card for 10 years. I just want her to come to Canada so I can live with her in my country and finally start my life. I did not immigrate to Canada, I was born in this great country.
I understand that there are high levels of marriage fraud that occur from many parts of the world but I would be more than happy to sign on a paper that if my relationship is not genuine then I would be completely fine to pay a very high fine or even go to jail.
Getting a PR Card for my wife can be debated to be a privilege or a right, but I believe that I have the right as a Canadian for my wife to get a visa to come to Canada without getting the PR Card right away, without having the right to vote right away, without having free health care services etc...
I am still patient and calm because I love to look at the glass half full rather than half empty.
I have ordered file notes numerous times. My case is in the interview queue and my wife has not been interviewed yet. Her medical has expired 2 times and a 3rd medical request has not been given. My local MP has been helping me for the past couple years now. He has done alot but he can only do so much since his government is not in power !sunshinemrc said:I personally think that your current processing time of 41 months is absurd, regardless of which country you are sponsoring from.
