Hi. I just had a call with CIC call center agent my file was not touched by anyone. The new deadline for my application was set to April 4th 2016. I was asked to call back again after that day if I haven't heard anything from them

Hello Guys wait time is killing. I have a question.I am an oct 20,2014 applicant. Now recently I have been selected for another job and its not in the same NOC for which I applied my PR. My open work permit is going to expire in June.
should I inform CEC for my recent job change? how should I get open work permit again? Do I have to put my New employer's name or anything while applying for Work Permit?

I am currently in USA and have no income in Canada for the last year?
will I be required to file the taxes with 0$ income?(Is this required since our application is in process?) The only possible income that I would be having is the interest on my savings account which would be less than 25$.
please advise.

Exactly same situation here Oct 15 applicant!!! I got an offer and my PGWP expires in June no MR yet and I don't know what to do :'(

Yes, you need to inform CIC about the job change. You can apply for BOWP within 4 months of your current work permit expiry date. As it's a open work permit, you do not need to put your new employer's name on the application.

Let me be more specific, actually I am quitting my current job which is in Oil field (Working As Team lead class1 technologist ) and Highly paid but as economy is not good and las stability of job , I am planing to move back to study for pharmacy and starting to work as Assistant part time only. So my next job will be Lower in position and pay too.. So I am confused if I say that to CEC will it be negative impact on my file?

No, only the experience you reported in the application matters. As long as your reported experience matches the requirement of CEC, then you are good. There will be no impact even if you are unemployed now. but if you are studying in Canada and working part-time, you need a study permit and a different kind of work permit, per my knowledge.

Spoke to CIC agent today.
When i mentioned that I am CEC Oct 2014 applicant, he said the due date is mid-march
We have to wait atleast another 3~4 weeks to see some activities in this group.

Anyone have any other updates / MR for Oct applicants...?

My due date is actually May (according to my GCSM notes). And I already had my MR last June, as well as my additional docs request...

Our files are due as per CIC timelines of 17 months. VO will touch our files in mid-march if not touched already.

Have a query.

I had applied from Canada. (Appln reached on 3rd Oct 2014)

I need to go to India due to some reason from 28th Feb to 25th April...
Is it possible for me and my dependents to do medical from India instead of Canada?

Does it involve any "transfer of application process"?

If its not possible then it seems I will have to get the Medical done upfront this week itself from here.

Also, I had sent my India PCC to CIC back in Mar 2015. Will they ask for India PCC again?

Once you get MR request, You can do medical from anywhere.
just make sure Dr is having e-Medical so that he can upload your results directly to CIC, it's fast.
For short visit you don't need to inform CIC.
As per current trend, Sep guys started getting medical hopefully you would be getting around mid of March.
