Interesting.. I am not much experienced here but one advice i can provide. Call the hospital where you did Medicals last and see if the Doctor can provide with the Medical sheet that will have the UMI # or so. In parallel reach out to the call Centre and check with them on what actually went wrong.

Also if u can post the exact reason for rejection of the Permit, that will help others in this forum to advise you better as well.

My boyfriend called CIC today. He got the usual excuse about our application being delayed as a result of internal processing issues. He said if we haven't heard anything by MAY (yes, you read that correct) to call them again.

Hello All, I am Oct-2014 Applicant!!! Just wondering whats going on with our applications. On my status it says CIC started processing my application on Feb 12th 2015, Nothing has been updated since then. I have not received any information regarding my application or further process from CIC.
So when i applied the processing time was 12 months which i see now has been changed to 14 months, and after reading couple of replies on this forum it seems like they have changed it to 18 months!!! I checked CIC website which still says 14 months processing time. Which One is true!?

If it is 14 months we all should have got our hearing by now. My work permit expires in July 16 and i am not sure if i will get any update from CIC regarding my application. I dont want to waste my time over the phone with Call center agents because they have absolutely zero knowledge regarding whats happening!!! I have emailed regarding this issue to Liberal Party MP in Ottawa, I have emailed CIC to provide me status of my application (Which will take forever for them to reply) + i have requested ATIP this morning. Nothing is getting me information i want.



Does anyone know when to expect the results on our applications?
There is movement in all the other stream of CIC but CEC. What is stopping CEC from processing applications? I know some of you will tell me about the CAP limit reached or Refugee migration etc,. But seriously CIC? Cant you hire some more staff to get things running smoothly (As promised on your website). All we can do is yell out loud on this forum and show our frustration to other fellow applicants thats about it. Someone needs to get CIC to answer in this matter.

I`m feeling sorry, we all understand how complicated the system is & how surviving this time is!
& you`re little late to realize that. Anyway, nobody here can answer this questions only time will!

It would appear the processing time is around 18 months now. Based on what I have read here, June/July applicants are being finalized now so realistically you should be expecting a decision around April/May. I hope I am wrong and you hear from them sooner. May be worth renewing your permit early next year. For what it's worth they have finally started processing our applications.

I have been reading a lot on this forum from past couple days. Really good stuff and folks are really helpful + motivating.

I see movement in late June - Mid July applicants getting their MR, RPRF etc. Hopefully we dont have to wait longer than April 2016. I also noticed one guy mentioning that he applied in April 2014 and never heard anything until early Nov 15 but in last one month he is all set with MR, RPRF etc and now he is waiting for his Passport to be stamped and sent back. He said to hangin there,,, Our wait is about to be over.

CIC has only left me with piss poor impression.

Please post your updates here, I am still new to this forum and i would really appreciate your support.

Guys!! Need some advice please.

I havent received MR yet, is it okay to do upfront Medicals? I am sure its not gonna help me much with the processing but i just want to take the load off. Also if i were to do Upfront Medicals, what information do i take to the doctor so that they can send my report to the immigration office correctly. I have e-mail from CIC regarding my UCI and File #.

What is the next step after Medicals that i can do upfront so that i dont have to worry about doing it after. Just want to make sure things are done from my side and wait for them to either ask for additional documents or my passport for the results.

You all are Elite here and i am sure you will guide me in a right direction. I hope to hear back from you guys soon.

I'm applying from the UK, and with all this talk of the processing times being extended, potentially until the the unthinkable time of August, I've been thinking about going overseas for a few months in the meantime. I've found a teaching job in Japan that would be for a short term contract of 3 or 4 months, starting in April.

My question is, if I go to a different country from the one I've applied from, will this affect my application in any way? Would I need to inform CIC? And would it make things more difficult when it came time to actually finalise things, in terms of passports and paperwork and things? I'm not quite sure what the final stages look like in practical terms, so I don't know what to expect.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hmm, I was wondering if I'd even have to inform them I had moved? I would still have someone based at my UK mailing address in case they needed to post anything to me. I was just worried that telling them might somehow complicate things further.

I haven't done upfront medical, but if I went then I would probably get that out of the way beforehand. Saying that, I don't even know what exactly is required for that! There are specialised doctors you have to go to, right?

This whole idea is kind of a fallback. If I got the position and then heard something on the PR front before I went, I'd probably just withdraw.

I have an update on ECAS but appreciate someone can explain me this! It's interesting!

I applied for CEC -PR on Sep end 2014 and then left Canada, been in India ever since.
I stayed in Canada since 2009 with gaps in between so I fell into the rule that prohibits one from getting in without a PR if they haven't stayed 12 continuous months out of Canada of preceding 36 months.
So, couldn't apply for a WP in whole of 2015 and my PR app, well you know how fast that moved.

The last update I had on my ECAS is when they updated my address from Canadian to Indian couple months back, had requested for same back in Feb.
Now since I completed a year out side Can, I applied for a fresh WP - with no mention of PR app. (bec' WP is employer driven and PR is personal).

Now today I see they have updated my address again with the addresses on my WP app, IMM 1295E!
Mind you there were cosmetic differences only, like when you say Ontario, Canada vs, ON, CA.

How come they were so prompt in updating that, word by word, from my WP - tells me has to be a robot.
So, are WP and PR apps connected? How could they, since my last UCI#, on which they gave me my AOR, has expired and thereby not mentioned in my new WP app?

Will they pull out both and scrutinize so far as to take action against the other? Does the law bar me from applying in 2 different ways - but that'll be so illogical considering WP is temporary in nature and PR is not!

Mind you, no emails nothing! Just the address changed from other app!! Somebody demystify for me, please!

You do nothing. It took them 3 months until it showed up in my ECAS. They definitely received it. If you are still worried, just shoot them an email and tell them you submitted it and if they received it.

Reading updates from June, July & Early August applicants. June and July candidates have started getting their decisions and Early August candidates have started receiving Med req. So Oct applicants should hope for meds sometime in next couple months.
Guys at least the wait game is over!!! Moving slowly is better than no movement what-so-ever! High hopes on getting all this done by end of the first quarter 2016.
