Hello fellow November AOR,

I just received my GCMS notes from IRCC today and it didn't look good! The good news is that misrepresentation isn't mentioned anywhere (I claimed points for the part-time job in my home country while I didn't mention that job on my initial study visa).

The bad news is that I had chosen a wrong NOC code for it. I worked as a part-time English Instructor for an English Center. It wasn't a public school or a private school. However, I claimed that job as NOC 4031 (Secondary Teacher) while it should've been NOC 43109 (Other Instructors). I was more like a tutor than a teacher. Now, GCMS notes said that:

Eligibility: Recommend Interview
Analyst Recommendation: Review Required
Summary Note: Foreign Work Experience does not meet NOC
CRS score at application: 512 / Verified Score: 474
Ready to Finalize

Based on this, it feels like my application will get rejected (hopefully, soon). I've booked a consultation with an RCIC tomorrow to see if I can send them a Letter of Explanation that the NOC was initially wrongly chosen, and give them the new NOC code. Additionally, I would like to ask the RCIC if it is a good idea to ask IRCC that if they intend to reject me, please do it asap so that I can get back to the pool to receive an ITA for the next draws.

That's that. I'm quite said but somewhat relieved. At least, it's not misrepresentation and with the extension of PGWP, I will still have a chance.

Good luck to all of you, rooting for you!
I hope you get the interview. You'd have a good chance to explain. It's so tough to wait another 4 months. I hope it gets sorted out soon.

@novemberrain your signature says you called IRCC on Apr 4 i.e Yesterday. Did the agent tell you anything about this when you called them?

Also, did you include a work experience letter with all your roles & responsibilities for this job? If you did, was it called out as part-time in the letter?

Hi, don't be too pessimistic, it says "Recommend Interview". They might have an interview opportunity for you, right?

Wish you all the best buddy. I think you might receive an interview call or a PFL to explain yourself. Best luck

Be one step ahead... You may send a proper LoE explaining that you were just confused with NOC codes and provide the correct code. Add a few details (briefly) about what actually you were doing as an instructor and just confused between these two similar NOC codes. Attach again a reference letter from that job making sure that duties are matching the correct NOC (add pay stubs if applicable). Put everything in one PDF. Apologize for the inconvenience and include your cell number mentioning that you're available to discuss this issue over the phone if needed and kindly asking to proceed further with your application. I wouldn't ask them to reject it, give a chance to the visa officer to accept your explanation, they are also humans and understand that people make mistakes. Good luck.

That's not possible when Eligibility passed before MEP/bio linked. I think you misplaced the dates.
Hmm. Might be. I think biometric are linked before eligibility passed.
Rest, eligibility date is from tracker where it says “We received the information you sent us. We’ll review it and let you know if we need any other information from you.”
Medical passed date as per the Cic account.

I am also in similar situation. I forgot to mention my New Zealand visitor visa refusal in study visa application but mentioned it in pgwp and pr application. I am hoping this will not result into misrepresentation as well. Eligible passed and info sharing in progress, security & criminality not started. Waiting for Caips notes and CBSA notes

I got an email from IRCC this morning at 1:22am PT (4:22am ET) saying that "We sent you a message about your application", but there is no new message in my GCKey account, nor is there anything updated in the account/tracker. No GU in the account (i.e. no "Application/profile updated").

I did voluntarily send them a police certificate through the webform 2 days ago without them asking me first, and they acknowledged the receipt yesterday with a standardized webform-response email.

Should the new email that I received today itself be considered a GU?

Should be good. Don't worry about it. Would have been bad if you forgot to declare in PR application. That you have declared it shows that you don't actually want to conceal info.

Just wanted to post my update.
I caught a GU yesterday(5-Apr-2023).
And when I checked tracker today(6-Apr-2023), everything was marked as completed & COPR number has been generated.

Haven't received any mails yet.
