Hi guys,

I am totally confused about the discussions. I send my application on Nov.27,2014, and my application was signed by CEC in SYDNEY on 9:59 am, Dec.1st,2014. But the website shown the cap is full / reached 8000, as dated Nov. 26, 2014. Why they still sign and receive my application but not return it to me if that's the truth. I just share my info. with your guys. and I will update the story if my application be return back to me. Hopefully they will accept my application.

Pr4can On a serious note I will call CIC again and talk to them (depends upon the wait time ) and confirm it once again. I really hope and actually believe that as CIC is charging money recently for applicants of September hence proves it is opened and the cap is not filled out yet. I think anyone applying before dec 31st will be treated under cec. Good luck !!

On mischievous note- I will have to Talk to Barack Obama to pressure Stephen Harper to make sure the cap is not filled yet as Obama is a person who can put pressure on any one. I have got their numbers just in case you want just email me on notsoserious@lmfaojk.com.

I'm going to call CIC tomorrow morning, will see what they say ??? although I'm not so sure about relying on their answer since everyone is told a different thing :-\ I just hope they prepared the Express Entry page to go up on Jan 1, when the current CEC process would be already closed (hence the info about 8000 cap reach),got a bit mixed up and they have put that page up already.... roll on Friday CEC cap update, I want to know whats going on ??? ;D

Well, my advice to those of you who have not yet applied is to apply now.

Even if the cap is reached, you are not losing anything since you have already prepared applications, pictures, took the English test...etc so the worst that could happen is that they return your application but they could also accept it. You never know.

CIC call center is useless and I wouldn't count on their responses. There has been three or four credit cards charged today Dec 2nd in the Sept applications so credit cards are still being charged as of today!

The only reason for believing the cap has been reach is that no AoR has been granted since the Aug 14th applicants. Mine reached CIC on Aug 15th and I haven't heard a word from it... :-[

Well if they are still charging credit cards as of today for sept applicants seems to me that they will proceed with application received prior to that date. So you should be okay.

I mean it does not make any sense to charge cards of sept 10th applicants on Dec 2nd and return those applications a month later. Why the waste of their time?

I think the CIC page that states that the cap has been reached could be that they are currently in a stage where they don't want to accept any new applications say from December and sort out all the existing ones and issue AORs to eligible applicants accordingly.

That's just my 2 cents and I may be wrong.

That was updated on Nov 26, the same day as the 4537/8000 cap update on the CEC page.

Remember that page shows only Noc "B" applications, it doesn't show NOC O&A
