Dec I got the MR. and Jan the RPRF, I assume file is ok so they asked for money

I am really frustrated with the CEC processing times, which is 17 months now. I contacted CIC through my MPs office, and they told they stopped processing CEC applications from august 2014 to december 31 2014 in order to process Express entry applicants in the 6 month window.

The new processing times will be closer to 22 months, as they said.

So we are screwed.

I emailed immigration minister Hon. John McCallum, explaining the situation at john.mccallum@parl.gc.ca

I guess we all should do the same and explain this discrimination to CEC applicants. 6 months versus 22 months is not fair!

this is highly possible as 17 months processing time is already passed for all August applicant. 22 months looks like correct in my opinion ( from date received to COPR / PPR ).

the good point is they started working again in our application and things looks moving every day ( a lot of MR nowadays, and a few PPR / RPRF ).

Dont worry My friend , they have already started the Backlog ,,,I have same situtation like you(frustrated) .

Trust me no body going to do anything for us including MP and Immigration minister. People have tried all and even it was in news too.

I guess we still have to wait. They dont give a Sh**T to us (old CEC) applicants.

Please try to read August thread ,,,that's what I do to get me self calm.

Chill Bro. How could this mean we're screwed? No we are not screwed.
22 months is just few months ahead.
On the other hand EE is probably quicker than waiting for these BS.

I think we shall start a petition to have the new government to look in the citizenship requirements and re consider the time period spent in Canada as temp. resident, towards the citizenship.

IMO some time down the road, the Liberal will overthrow the old Conservative's rules of the time spent as temp resident not count as citizenship. I do hope that Liberal make this change soon enough for us to take advantage of it, and not only grant this right to certain groups of temp residents.

Hi All,

Has anyone who got PCC request, sent the PCC only by email ? Or Do we have to send a physical copy to CIC office as well ?

Please suggest as in the request I received for PCC , it was stated : Send the Original PCC by email.

I got the same email where they said send original passport and pcc and reply to this email with the documents. I was also confused as to how u can send oiginal through email and i asked them. I got a reply saying that they wanted scanned copies and just reply to the same email with the documents.
