That's what I'm afraid: that no one has touched my file. I have already requested my CGMS notes but it will take some weeks...

About the process I have read that it should be in parallel. However the workflow might have changed due to the new system (EE) and all the delay.

Let's keep thinking in a positive way and hope very soon we will receive good news.
This will be my 6th GCMS notes since June 2015 and I assure you no one touched my file after April 2015 that was for Organizations&Entities update to confirm the employer. Please let me know once u get ur notes. I would like to compare mine with mid-late August applicants'.

I don't know about criminal and security checks but the only thing i'm sure is, when you received your MR, your eligibility is Passed :)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/econ/cec/decision.asp.

As long as you didn't receive your MR, your eligibility hasn't been approved or refused ...

thanks for raising hands.
I really wonder what kind of queue system do they have? It should be all mass, they jump to even October for MR without clearing June/July backlogs and second reviews. I believe they find old CEC applicants for granted, and as a good resource for BOWP..

Is that true though? I always thought once you receive you AOR you are technically eligible and passed "eligibility"..

No, AOR means that your application is COMPLETE and they can start your admissibility ... ( all paper have been signed, included ect ... ).

MR means your eligibility ( admissibility ) has been passed :)

AOR : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/econ/intake.asp ( INTAKE )

ELIGIBILITY : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/econ/cec/class.asp

if, eligibility ( or admissibility ) is passed : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/econ/cec/decision.asp

( if your application is refused, it will be 99% of the time before MR, unless you have a medical, criminal, or security issue, which is rare )

Hi All,

I'm 'Aug 08, 2014' CEC applicant currently working in Montreal-Quebec. I'm scheduled to move back to my Home country on Intra-Company transfer by mid-February as my Canada assignment is getting over. Meanwhile, I have received below query by CIC on my application last week -

The Canadian Experience Class is a class of persons who may become permanent residents on the basis of their experience in Canada and who intend to reside in a province other than the province of Quebec. Please respond to this email with written evidence that you intend to live in a province other than Quebec in order for me to make a final decision on your application.

Should I reply back to this query with -

- scanned copy of my return flight tickets stating about my proposed change of address

- state about my intention to reside outside Quebec for long term family future (education & spouse job)

- my failed job search attempts during tenure in Montreal (due to lack of work authorization) along with attaching those email exchanges with prospective employers in Toronto area

Request your inputs on this & any more suggestions/additions.

Hello kayak08, you might search June and/or July 2014 threads to see howQuebec based applicants responded this query. As far as I remember they wrote some explanation letters including the evidences.

Did you receive MR or any document request prior to this inquiry?

Are you sure having MR means eligibility is passed? I had mine last June, and need to renew my bowp that expires in April... I don't want to have it refused... :/
Didn't get any news from CIC after my MR though. Sent additional doc's in July and November (due to some issues with my former boss)... I'm waiting for my GCMS, should be there any day now.

This whole BOWP thing is confusing now. I applied early September. Sure their processing times say Sep 3 right now, which means, they have not reached my application, yet. But I applied for my second BOWP, and I don't see any reason why I should not get it. Hoping for the best for all. My PR application has not moved, as well, and I did my MR upfront, so I don't know what the status is. Before, all you needed was your AOR, which gave me my first BOWP.

Me too! And when I called cic 2 weeks ago they told me that AOR was enough. So it's definitely super confusing... Which is why I don't know if I should wait until the very last minute and be under implied status for a few months (which is stressful) or ask for it now and take a risk (even though I had my MR and I'm pretty sure that given the processing time everything should be fine).

Hey guys is there any advantage to using MyCIC? I logged into it to see if there was any additional information on my PR but it was basically an empty file, I normally use the check my status link on the CIC website with my UCI number, so should I have a MyCIC account and is there any advantage to having one?
