You can apply a bridging open work permit. Used the AOR you received when you apply your PR. Regarding temporary resident visa you don’t need to apply for that as long as you don’t intent to go outside canada. Visa is for entry purposes only. I hope I answer your question.

You should apply for either a bridging open work permit or a PGWP extension. My situation is very similar

You can extend your work permit for almost 18 months which I did and got my work permit. it is so easy and fast.

Pgwp extension does not exist. There is a new public policy but op is not eligible for it. Only option is to apply for bowp

I extend my work permit and I got it for 18 months. It is exactly the same as the extension just need LOE to mention the public policy.

My work permit was going to expire in July and I called CIC they said I am eligible according to public policy to extend my work permit for 18 months. I did and I got it after almost 10 days. Call CIC to be sure and then apply.
