Yes your ILETS score isn't that great. Give ILETS again and if the score is less than 450, apply for nomination. Don't delay in appearing for ILETS if you are keen on EE.

Ok, I will re-appear for the IELTS. But for the state nomination program, do you think I can do it on my own? How? Because currently I dont have a agent doing anything for me. Doing it on my own.

Hi,

Thank you for replying.

I am not married. And my IELTS score is R8,W6.5,S7.5,L7.5 ...I have a Masters degree and more than 9+ years of experience. Still my score is only 382. Do you think its because of my IELTS score? Should I appear again? Will the best out of two be considered or the latest one?

Too many questions, I know but its too disheartening :(. Please advise.

You need L-8, rest all 7 each to get CLB level 9, and with this your score will cross 460

It's ok. You will be fine. Please redo your IELTS. You need a minimum of 8 in listening and 7 in the other three to get a reasonable CRS. With your Masters degree and experience, you have a very good chance of getting an ITA with improved IELTS scores, especially if you are not more than 32years old. The worst that can happen is that you go through the PNP route.

Thanks for encouragement. Second round of IELTS on 30th April! Any tips to top it will be appreciated ;)

There is on more question that comes to my mind. I applied many jobs through Canada Job Bank too (you know its mandatory to register there) but never got any response. So I am wondering could this be because of my low CRS score that I am not getting any response? Do you think this Job Bank thing works? Actually its suppose to as they are the ones who ask us to register with them compulsorily and then if they are not considering the candidates through it, then whats the sense? How will we ever get a job which will add 600 points to the profile? If you have any idea about this Job Bank thing then please do let me know.

I gave my IELTS again. Received the result today. L-8.0 R-8.0 W-7.5 S-7.5. I now have CRS score of 451 but it will drop 5 points more in few days as I will be 35 then :(. What more can I do to increase the CRS points? Please advice.

Just wait till the score drops to 450 again. And get the documents needed ready. Like WES Report, etc. if u have not got it yet. You can wait for scores to drop or prepare yourself for applying for provincial nominations.

I had 446 for a while, until I decided to do the second language test (IELTS as french is my first language). It gave me 24 pts. I would have never thought so.
Now I'm at 470 and I have received an ITA in April 2016 (I received an ITA before but my previous application has been refused because incomplete).

My first language is English. I have never studied French language at all. So giving IELTS for second language is out of question :(.

Good luck to you though mate :)! Congratulations.

Please and please, request for a remark. My score jumped from 400 to 458, when my writing was changed from 6.5 to 7. Take heart, I felt the same way too then.

Thanks Akinoluwa

I did appear again and my score now is L-8, R-8, W-7.5, S-7.5

Score bumped to 451 from 382. I wish I could have crossed the 470 mark :(.

Currently sitting at 447. I'm gonna get 472 in 50 days once getting 3 yrs work experience.

I'm wondering whether 472 is a safe score considering the coming policy change is gonna benefit international students.

Currently sitting on 441. Score expected to increase in next few weeks to 481 after ECA from CES for my recently finished Masters degree InshAllah.
