I got my citizenship certificate today, and went to Service Canada to apply for the Canadian passport, and they told me that "IRCC portal" doesn't have my information on their system. The barcode barcode at the back of the certificate got scanned and it doesn't show up on the system.

On the website to track the citizenship application, oath is also set to completed, but the application is still "in progress". I don't see "Congratulations, you are Canadian citizen" update. ECAS is Decision Made though.

Any experienced a similar problem before? What shall I do?
Oh my god. This is really interesting. I think you should contact on the email address on which you have sent your Signed Oath Form.Hope someone has face similar issues can answer your question.

I got a ghost update today on the application tracking website (not ECAS). Ghost update because there is no actual information related to the update, but the last update was dated as of today. I sent a few emails and a webform. Not sure if this update came after I sent out these things.

This is interesting (and weird). I guess you'll have to wait until the status of the application is "Closed" before you can apply for a passport.

Usually takes 2 weeks. I got mine in 9 days

I wonder if any is still waiting for their passport submitted August 10 at Service Canada office?

That's interesting. So you applied in-person and they are still taking 1 month. I've normally seen in person being processed in 10 business days

Well that was at Service Canada office in Ottawa which is next to the passport office (they only process urgent applications).

Interestingly it was August 10th the application and payment submitted, but then passport call centre agent stated the application started processing August 17th.

It took about 8 days. But I guess without the closure of the online application portal, I cannot apply for a passport.

why would you need to wait for the application to be closed? You have the citizenship in hand.

Edit: I just saw your previous posts. That really sucks. So now we have to wait for that. Ridiculous. Has anyone else had that issue?

Hello, does anyone know how long after Credit Card Charge, do we receive the Passport and Citizenship Cert?

This is for Mail-in Application to K1A.

The worst part is, nobody is answering the calls and Service Canada says if they can't validate it on the ircc portal, then they can't accept the application.
I submitted a complaint to Service Canada, because ircc does not even respond to webforms if they are not urgent.

If they still don't have my info on service canada by the end of next week, do you think I should get an immigration lawyer?
This situation you’re in sucks, but it sounds more like an unfortunate clerical error than a law-related one. I’m not sure what a lawyer can do for this, except be happy to take your money.

What about the suggestion of emailing the address to whom you sent your oath declaration? It is a legitimate problem that your processing office must address.
