Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

We sent 3 applications (family) by mail on June 23 and it was delivered on June 27.
CC got charged on July 15th for all 3 of us.
I received my citizenship certificate today in the mail with a note saying that my passport has already been delivered or will be delivered by courier.

When can I expect to receive my passport?

I guess that could be anytime. I am one week behind you, I haven’t received the birth certificate back yet. Let’s see if the passport will come anytime soon. Keep us posted.

Hi my application recived Mars 7 no news untill now couple days a go I sent a claim bc I want to know what going on with my application bc it’s almost 5 month now each time a call they say call in 2 weeks my question is how take to respond to my claim?

I assume when you say 'claim' you mean a complaint? if that's the case then don't bother, I filed a couple of those and nothing, they never responded and they don't even look at it.

Hi all, as my case is quite different, I received passport of someone else in my mail. Since then did everything:
- Call on 6868 and report the situation, every week without fail
- Register online complaint
- Sent the case to MP
They said I will receive call from office, never received call till date. Weeks are passing by, what should I do? any suggestions?

Go drop it off at any passport office asap so they can get it to the correct person!

Hi there, on the passport it reads if lost/found where to send , just send this to that address!

The envelope was addressed to me but contents belonged to someone else. The agents on helpline told me that I have to wait and will be contacted soon (within 3 days, then 5 days, then within a week according to them) but no one has ever contacted and I have made three calls, one every week. It seems I need to visit the passport office with a travel ticket in hand and the documents that I received.

I wish i had a better or an answer, and I really feel for you! One possible solution to this issue could be.

1. If this passport’s and your passport office is same better physically go there and hand them this passport and request to see the manager and quiz them who did they send your passport to.

2. The person who received your passport and certificate might have sent back or at least notified the issuing office( The receiving person has no use of your documents (( my personal opinion)).

Agreed, we have a major trip planned for November to go to Europe anyway, so hopefully she should get it normally by then.

Yes, even with the current processing times, she definitely should get it by then.

Hi All, I mailed in my pp application second week of May and haven't received pp or citizenship certificate yet. I am moving this week so my mailing address will change. I have sent it many web inquiries asking for status update as well as notifying address change but haven't heard back. What should j do, I am afraid my pp will be lost.

Try get your lical MP involved, or write letter to Gatineau ASAP……notify them if your application and address change

Did you get your newborn's birth certificate back?. I can't apply for my baby visa or oci without birth certificate copy. They said it's going to take 4 to 6 weeks to get birth certificate back. I hope it won't be that long.

Nope. They transferred my file so no idea what is going to happen with the birth certificate.

Hello what information do you need to give them ? name, date of when the application was sent ect?

When did you submit your application?
