Again, contact your local MP's!!!! My new borns applications was in "pending approval" status for 2+ months. The moment I contacted my MP it was approved, printed and shipped all within 3-4 days. Note: you MUST have a travel date booked if you want your MP to expidite.

Did you receive an email from eservice Canada that your file transfer is initiated when you MP requested file transfer?

I did not end up getting the transfer. Once my MP contacted them, it was processed in Ottawa, printed there and shipped from there. I just recieved it actually! I was also sent back my kids original birth certificate.

I was told by my MP on a Thursday (June 14th) that it would be transferred on the following Monday (10 days within my travel), but then tha weekend someone from the passport office in Gatineau called me and said its going to printing on Monday instead of being transferred. Passport was recieved today.

hey guys,

application received April 1st, faxed them new copies of signed ids this Monday, phoned them on Tuesday, they told me, that they need about 2 weeks to update everything, also I've got my certificate yesterday with a paper note saying that my passport will be/has been given to you by a passport office (that part is highlighted), so hopefully by the end of September I will get it lol

Application received at Gatineau- 26 April
CC charged : 1 June
Sent email to MP : 9 Jul
Mp office replied that passport in production on : 13 Jul
Passport received with certificate-21 July

Thanks all for your support . This forum is very helpful I applied myself for PR, citizenship, passport everything .

A quick question guys, so when you go pick the passports from local passport office what documents they check ( if they do)?? Or they just handover to you after seeing photo id etc.,
