I don't have file number. My receipt has only reference number which is 00012xx format

U can choose I don’t have a file number option and they sent you the file number after entering some details .

In general for those who wants the new passport: This is your last chance to get the old design, you will get the new design or a newer design upon renewal in 5 or 10 years. And the new design is not as classic anyways. Just saying

My thoughts precisely. We'll get the new design in the future anyway... might as well cherish the old design till then.

I just picked up my passport today at Sinclair Center (Vancouver). Applied last Thu, Aug 10th in Richmond, BC and opted for express. Pick-up is in Sinclair Center a week after.

I was thinking the same thing, though I think new ones have a polymer bio page, and the old one is a slightly laminated paper, so that's one point for the new one.

I applied in person at Orleans on August 3rd and received it via mail on August 15th. It is the old style.

Hey guys, I was planning to do walk-in for my newborn's passport in Hamilton. Wondering what's the latest time when they stop taking people. I mean if the passport office closes at 4pm, can i be there at 3.55pm and still get accepted? TIA

3 pm worked for me. Not sure about 3.55 pm

Vancouver walk-in application on Hastings. Arrived at 9.30 am, no wait whatsover. In and out, in under 10 mins total. Despite mentioning travel in October, they refused any expedited passport application (need to travel in September to be offered that apparently). Earliest I was offered was week of Sept 19th mail-in application or for 20 dollars extra I can have guaranteed pick up on Sept 19th from that office.

You have waited this long to get your citizenship and now you can't even wait few hours ? Go there at 3.59pm and let us know how it goes....
