I applied at a Service Canada Centre in Calgary on March 11, 2022. Regular application (not travel plans at the moment). They said I should receive the passport by April 19, 2022 (next Tuesday). Based on what people have been commenting here, I'm not convinced that I'll get it by Tuesday.

Regular applications take around 8 weeks these days. If you are scheduled to pick up in person, I would suggest to call before you go. You don't want to go and waste your time if your passport has not been issued.

Over the phone - there is a form to fill out requesting an appointment

No, this is very disappointing! My mail out date is April 12, I gave myself till April 14 to see if I can get it. Today is April 18, still nothing.
I will call Passport Service to see the status of my passport.

I applied in-person at service Canada for a passport on March 15, and the form they gave me, says they will be mailing the passport on April 12. Should I be getting an email when the passport is shipped? How long does Canada post take to mail the passport?

I tried calling but the office is closed, I'm guessing it's because they are still in holiday. Keep me posted about yours too.

I went to the walking in Milton. Any Update on your status? I have tried calling Passport service, but I cant get a hold of them, they keep saying they are busy with other calls.

I had an 11:00 appointment this morning in the Vancouver office. Got there at 10:50 and walked out at 12:10 for an urgent processing (I fly next week). The lines are ridiculous and security has no concept of how to triage or stage people into lines. The officers are also quizzing everyone on why they need urgent or express processing (ie, why did you book a flight without having a passport?). I pointed to the date of my certificate and the mail date on the envelope and the agent changed his tone to "oh congrats! you need express processing and can come back tomorrow to get it!"

I applied in person at Service Canada in Niagara Falls on March 22nd. The date of travel is April 29th, 2022. I called the call center on April 15th and requested a transfer to the passport office near Niagara Falls. Today, I went with all of the documents to the passport office, and there was a big queue at about 9 a.m. (almost 100 people).
I chatted with the security guard, and he permitted me to enter. I explained the circumstances, showed my travel interview letter from the USA and tried to convince her to get the passport asap, but the representative stated that she could only accept my application but could not ensure that the passport would be delivered by April 29th as there were thousands of applications for the express process. I tried to give it a shot as there was no option available.
She asked me to fill out a form where they were going to charge 95 CAD for an express passport. Now another wait game starts.

I just hope they do their best to get my passport to me before the 29th of April.

Has anyone recently applied for a passport at St. Catherine's Passport Office?

Still nothing. Tried calling them yesterday but couldn't reach them. I don't know how long this passport thing would take.
