Hi,

Are we allowed to connect an external mouse and keyboard to the laptop for the online test? Because sometimes my built-in mouse in the laptop does not work.

thanks

The pass rate for the Canadian Citizenship Test is 75%. This means that you must answer 15 out of 20 questions correctly. If you fail to pass the written Canadian Citizenship test, but you meet other criteria, you can schedule for a second test. You need to take the second test 4 to 8 weeks after your first test.

Yes, you can. If you have multiple test links, use the latest test link you received.

If you go past the 30-minute time limit while disconnected,

  • our system will automatically submit your test and all answers you selected up to that point
  • you won’t see your test result when you sign in
  • you can contact the email address in the Reschedulingsection of your test invitation to get your result, telling us

I remember being so worried that my result would be canceled because of this! I asked my friend, who had passed the exam before me, many times, but he assured me that everything would be fine. In the end, there were no issues with the mouse.
P.S.: yes, I know this is an old thread, but it's still very relevant. Newbies, what do you think? How are things going now?

This is true, external mice do not affect the result. It is best to check the specific rules provided by the testing organization as they may vary. Generally, the use of an external mouse and keyboard is allowed if it is necessary for functionality, but checking with the exam organization will ensure that you avoid any problems. But if you have a mac, you may have more than just such issues with your mouse. For example, right-click to left-click on a mac has its own specifics. Fortunately, this article https://setapp.com/how-to/right-click-on-a-mac describes very well how to deal with such problems. So I recommend reading it and finding what you are interested in! Good luck with your test!

Worried about using a mouse on a laptop? What a problem to have! Ridiculous
