There is no such thing as a dependant visa. You apply for an open work permit. Can’t tell you the chance of getting approved given it is based on your profiles and funds. Why didn’t you apply with her in the first place?
You are asking if an employer can help. No, not really as it will not speed up any process. There is no such thing as a dependant visa. Try for a visitor visa and show that your spouse is not moving to Canada as the spouse is leaving behind job, funds etc. It has a high chance of refusal because you are married and want to move permanently.
