Hello! I'm currently thinking of migrating to Canada, preferably in Calgary and I'm trying to figure out the living expenses for someone who might be going there alone (or with a friend) so that I can gauge how much I'm supposed to make and or bring in if I'm to live there comfortably and at the same time still have some savings to bring home.
I've searched through some sites and forums and most of them said around CAD $3000 per month would be the monthly cost of living (rent etc, if people could break down the expenses I'd be very grateful) but I looked at the dates and they were in the year 2012 and it would be for a family of 4. Since I'm thinking of going there next year (2014) I'd like to know the cost this year?
Also, I've been hearing about flooding in Calgary? Will it be too much of a problem when I live there? If it is, what are the other places that would be good to live in?
Thanks in advance!
