But that is the fun of the hot button topics you can be sure there are zealots on both sides that will be forever entrenched and any little whiff of the other side will set them off... that in itself can be funny in small doses...

P.S. Hoping you all get what you were waiting for in the mail. It will probably take awhile for it all to get sorted out. The only thing in my mail box yesterday was bills!

This is probably not the place for it, but not sure it deserves its own topic but when I was last in Canada I guess that would be ummm 2006 full time I have visited a couple times since then but even as far back as 06 I never used snail mail for anything, all my bills were ebills and paid on line and any shipping was done via couriers, the only thing I ever got in the mail were coupons and the like.. junk mail... does anyone actually rely on CP for day to day stuff?

I have called them many times, and also they put note against my package(june 7th). they told me, canada post would contact you after 10 business day (thuesday, june 21) to inform u of the result. I didn't request for signature, as nobody is at P.O box to sign for delivery. I just sent by express post.

The tracking number that they gave me, I just track it in the Canada Post and it says "item processed at postal facility" Mississauga on June 12 at 21:01. i called them few times and i told them that my package is very important and I paid $49 but its not delivered on expected delivery date so they put note against my package and they said when the strike over it will deliver on the same day hopefully.

You should call them and see where your package is but if its not on the track list i mean the location then its hard to say where it would be now. I hope your package will be safe. I know how important it IS. I can feel the pain.

Did you requested for signature?

Hi to all.
Did anyone mail got delivered today in Mississauga since all mail were stuck in the cargo because of locked out (including me). As far today was the second day of Canada post back to work. Mail delivery started today. I checked my tracking number and it does not change to delivered because of the high volume mails in postal facility.

I hope our stuck applications will move out tomorrow.

This is awful. I was expecting a letter from the states, it's postmarked June 9th and I just got it the other day. I hope you guys get your PR applications and stuff delivered on top and safely. Hopefully it won't take them too long to catch up on their backlogged mail. Good Luck!!

The canada post contacted me yesterday, and said that the case processing centre is a large volume mail receiver and they receive their mails in containers and mailbags. So, you will not see a delivery confirmation in the system, as the mails to CPC may be not scanned at all. I don't know what is going on!!

Wow that's sucks man. I called Canada post and they said to me. Wait till Thursday or next week so. Mississauga plant have a large volume of mails and we don't know

Who cares about Canada post?? They emailed me my good news that my applcationwas in the final stages and emailed me the an attached letter. Score!! Fedex the rest of my paperwork now whooooop!!

Does anyone know how applications are forwarded from Mississauga to Buffalo? Do they use Canada post? Sponsorship was approved on June 13th, and total silence since. I don't expect processing to be quick but an Email with confirmation of receipt would be nice

they use government courier...forget the exact word, and don't expect to hear anything for a while from Buffalo!!! Our application was received in Buffalo, and Ecas updated this morning that the application is now in process.
