I know the CPC Mississauga PO Box is just a box where the mail deliveries are put in. However, mine got a signature on it. I was thinking maybe the delivery came in at the same time as the person from CPC who is picking the deliveries to bring to the office. Anyone had the same situation?
Mine was signed by a person name: MAHMOOD.

Canada post is so confusing regarding their tracking system.
The reason why is because after saying "item successfully delivered" it says "item out for shipping"
I've been calling the call center several time but got different answers.

So just in case someone here had the signatory of MAHMOOD, I'd feel better coz I know it's a person from CPC.

Here how it looks like:

2013/02/07 14:21 MISSISSAUGA Item out for delivery

AM MISSISSAUGA Item successfully delivered

AM Signature image recorded for Online viewing -MAHMOOD

2013/02/06 17:41 MISSISSAUGA Item processed at postal facility

2013/02/05 19:18 RICHMOND Item processed at postal facility

2013/02/04 17:18 NORTH VANCOUVER Item accepted at the Post Office

Yea it has the signature, but then after the delivered status, it said it was out for delivery again.
I spoke to different agents, and they give me different answers. Some told me it was delivered and just had some scanning mistakes some told me it will be delivered on Monday because of the snowstorm. Now, I'm really confused if my parcel got in the right place or not :(

I sent mine to the po box. I had an email (as I signed up for email confirmation) with the delivery receipt. I think if you log ino express post it allows you to download the receipt. Maybe check there.

I won't be able to check that link as I don't have your tracking id.

Which agents are you calling? Its prob useless calling mississauga as they won't have any idea until they process them
Maybe try calling canada post instead to find out the details.

is that the one?

I dunno why the agents keep me walking on circle, it seems like they don't know what they're doing. lol
They don't. I can tell you this whole heartedly that they have no idea what the hell they are doing.

How do I know?

My husband's passport. It was sent registered, it went from NYC to Montreal (We are in southern Ontario) and there it sat...and sat. Finally I called CP and they said "We can't find it" PARDON ME?! I explained to them it was a PASSPORT and if they lost it, I will be suing before they can pull something out of their asses. I called them twice, both times "We can't find it, but we will look for it" The next day, my mother, who works for CP as a rural route driver, called. They fed her the same line. The NEXT day.. it shows up at our house, but online it just said "Item in Montreal" still.

All in all, I hate their tracking. The problem is, they are too damn lazy to scan things like they say they should. Which is why I honestly will never send anything important via CP ever again.

Oh yea you're right. Btw, the agents I was talking about were from Canada post call center. They totally make up stories to their customers. They do not know anything but the same thing as we see on the tracking system.

Here's the tracking number:0436 4880 0089 7270

I know. It's really frustrating. I will probably not send important documents through Canada post again. I didn't want to generalize as I know they've done good service to other customers, but still, their customer service hotline should be trained better and their tracking system should be improved.

I agree 100%. I work on-call for them, and I was just SHOCKED because in training we are told, over and over again "YOU MUST SCAN ANYTHING THAT HAS A BARCODE". But of course people don't care.

Ignorant statement.

Most items that get missent are due to addressing errors by the sender or the address gets misread because of the handwriting.
The process is very straight forward. Errors that occur are not due to "lazy" employees. Decision making at the employee level has all but been removed.

Hi Iay! :)

Don't worry at all...what you saw is perfectly, perfectly normal. I've received Canada Post packages for years, and that's how they've been showing the item delivery status. There's no error or glitch in their system, and rest assured that your package got delivered successfully. I think the way they list the chronological order is just a little confusing, but this is the way to read it properly:

When you read updates for different dates, read them from the bottom to the top. However, when you read updates on the same date, you should read them from top to bottom :).

So basically what happened was: there were 3 things that happened on 7th February. The first thing that happened was that the item was out for delivery, and then it got delivered successfully, and then the receiver's signature was succesfully recorded. If you read the 7th February update from top to bottom, it makes perfect sense ;)

If I were CanadaPost.ca's web programmer, I would keep things the way they are right now, except one thing: I would instead list the earliest date at the top, that way everything is read consistently, from top to bottom :).

I hope my explanation above puts your fears to rest :).

Sorry but that is somewhat incorrect. You do read it from bottom to top but what happened on the 7th was scanning done out of order.
Letter depots get a lot of last minute mail and time sensitive items must be delivered or they fail their time commitment and the customer can request a refund. So the Letter Carrier will be loaded and ready to leave their depot and a late truck will arrive with packets/parcels so those will be grabbed and not scanned "out for delivery". They will get scanned at the delivery address and signed for if that is required. When the Letter Carrier returns to the depot at the end of the day he must reconcile all the scanning exceptions. So the "out for delivery" that should have been inputed in the AM was done in the PM as the carrier closes out their scanner.
This has nothing to do with being stupid or lazy it has everything to do with trying to get all the mail you have delivered that day. As long as you read that it was successfully delivered the rest of the info is unimportant.
