Canada Post Lost Our Passports & COPR

Hi all
We are suffering from same situation, Canada post lost our passports coming from CPC ottawa with COPR, :-[ :'(
Appreciate, if someone let us know the process of getting COPR on new passports.
We got the letter from Canada post about the loss & now we will be filling police complaint and Canada Post is not reimbursing me the expenses I will be incurring on getting new Passports, would be helpful if someone can please direct/suggest me what I should be doing in this case.

Email your visa office and let them know about the lost passport and COPR and tell them you have filed a police report.

Canada Post won't reimburse you for the expense of getting new passports. I wouldn't even bother trying.

Does it happened to all the people. Can you guys say me the timeline you send your passports to cic.

It will be worthwhile for all sending their passports to take insurance out to the value of replacing the passports at least

We sent our passports on 16th April & they sent back on 24th April but these Canada post guys lost it somewhere in Mississauga & now they are saying they have lost it. We are totally frustrated now. Will this hamper our PR process as passports had our COPR. Whats the process of getting COPR back??

PMPR This is very sad news!
How long it has been since you have lost your passport? What does the tracking system tells you about the item?
On the return envelope, did you put signature-required tag on the Envelope?

It happened with me with a Passport with working visa. Luckily, after one week, they found/brought me back my passport.

Hi PMPR, Sad to know that your passport are lost by Canada post.

My situation is that My passports has been returned back to CPP-Ottawa because incomplete address (but I have written complete address and taken picture of it). Now, I am not sure what should be my next step. Do I need to call CIC or email the CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca asking to them resend it again. Any suggestions please?
