courier is faster, like DHL, while post is normal post.
yes, but not handwritten, i typed it, on normal letter paper, without company letter head.

you need one year of experience in the ministerial list job before you can apply. Sounds like you don't have one year of job experience in your ministerial list job. You have to see how long you have been doing the duties in the ministerial list job.

You can either get two letters for each noc code that you claim or you can do it on one letter if its the same company.

Hello,

I dont think my company provide me any letter that mention my responsibilities or duties. They provide a letter mentioning date of Joining, Job title and current Salary structure.

In my day to day life ( from Offshore- Softare integration team to Onsite-Client ), I have those duties that I mentioned in my earlier post and those duties varies from location to location. Suppose , if i do work from India, some of duties are effective here and some are effctive from at client location.

I Just want to know if i provide my duties inforamtion at normal letter paper, without company letter head and provide one company letter that contain my date of Joining, Job title and current Salary structure. will these information work out??? And support my applcation??

thats waht you have to do for Sydney. I dont know whether that will work at the visa office because i dont have such experience. maybe you can get a letter from your direct manager saying your job duties (ie a separate letter).

CIC must have a way to evaluate you at your job. I guess they do say that you dont have to get a job letter from your current job. i dont know how they evaluate people in those circumstances because i can imagine people may lie about what they do.

Thanks, i understand you. I have checked op06 – Federal skilled worker. Pdf in
section- 7
Page 13.
1.12 Applications that correspond to the Ministerial Instructions
Once it is found that the applicant’s work experience corresponds to the Ministerial Instructions,
the CIO will record this assessment in CAIPS and the electronic file will be transferred to the visa
office. The CIO will send a letter to the applicant to:
• notify them that their application is being placed into processing at a visa office;
• request them to submit a copy of their application and other forms, together with supporting
documents to the visa office within 120 days;
• inform them of how to contact the visa office.

Page 14
1.13 Receiving the application at the visa office
R10 prescribes what constitutes “an application” under the Act. The requirements are as follows:
1) a signed and completed IMM 0008EGEN must be submitted containing the name, birth date,
nationality, matrimonial status and current immigration status of the applicant and all family
members (whether accompanying or not) and identifying the principal applicant;
2) the visa, permit or authorization being applied for is specified;
3) the class in which the application is made is specified;
4) a signed statement is included to the effect that the information provided is complete and
accurate;
5) the application is accompanied by evidence of payment of the applicable fees.
6) proof of official language proficiency is attached either in the form of the results of an
approved language test or a written submission. See Section 10 for more information on
language requirements.

They have not mentioned how cic will evaluate those applications, employer supporting docs, candiates supporting docs at Sydney and local visa office.

its only after they do what is written in your post, that they start evaluating an applicant. You'd have to ask someone from CIC how they evaluate your job experience.

Good luck

Can you ask your supervisor , previous supervisor or some one else in your company to provide the letter ( in official or normal paper) and his/her business card. That may work.
also do mention that HR does not officially give job description and hence the other letter. This works for US green card and hopefully will work for Canadian PR.

Has your company ever given you a job description- like in offer letter, promotion letter or letter for business visa, work visa. You can use them also.

You can also get a letter from a client person as a reference / recommendation letter that you can use in lieu of job description.

Thanks for reply.
I am in same company for past 5 years and as such in my promotion letter, they have mentioned only Job band change, effective date,, new revised salary, not JOB duties etc.

After promoted last year as Program Analyst, went to UK for project work at client site but didnt see any job duties related information in Work permit and other official documents..

This apply PR is totally personal matter, doesn't come in Company policy, so i am bit afriad, if cic will ask one employer letter to explain the list of my duties. I can personally request my manager to provide me the letter to list down my all duties in normal (A4) paper and his business card.

Moreover, cic evaluate work exp in this way. OP6.pdf Page 29-30.

Experience: Hope this helps.

Pursuant to R80, officers will assess and award up to 21 units of assessment for paid work
experience, as follows:

Number of Less than 1 At least 1 At least 2 At least 3 4 or more
years

Points 0 15 17 19 21

To be eligible for points, the applicant's work experience must:

• have occurred during the 10 years immediately preceding the date of application submission;

• be in occupations listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) under Skill Type 0
or Skill Level A and B;

• not be in an occupation that has been designated by the Minister as a restricted occupation.
At the time of printing, there were no occupations designated as restricted. However, for the
most up-to-date listing, officers should refer to the Department's Web site at
ww.cic.gc.ca/skilled.

A) One-year continuous full-time experience: this means one year in one skilled occupation to
demonstrate an ability to establish oneself economically;

or

(B) The equivalent in continuous part-time employment in one or more occupations.

In (B), this continuous part-time employment could be made up of two part-time jobs held
simultaneously or of one part-time job held over the equivalent of one year of full-time
employment.

Once the qualifying year has been established, further experience in one or more occupations
can be calculated by adding up the number of months spent in full-time and/or part-time work in
one or more of the NOC categories.

Officers must:

• take into account both paid full-time work and paid part-time work (equalizing part-time work
to full-time years) (R80(1));

• consider only those occupations which the applicant has specified and for which the applicant
has provided the four-digit NOC code on their application form (R80(6));

Note: While the Regulations clearly place responsibility on applicants to undertake research of the NOC
and provide the NOC coding for the occupations in which they claim qualifying experience, officers
are expected to exercise discretion where applicants may have made minor errors or omissions in
correlating work experience and NOC coding.

• not take into account whether the applicant meets the “Employment requirements”
description set forth in the NOC for the occupation(s) listed;

award points only if the applicant has performed the actions described in the lead statement
of the particular NOC description and has performed at least a substantial number of the
duties described in the “Main Duties” summary – including all the essential duties (R80(3));

Note: Neither the NOC nor the Regulations distinguish between “essential” and “non-essential” duties or
provide guidance as to what constitutes a “substantial number”. This is left as a matter for
assessment on a case-by-case basis. If officers have concerns about whether or not the applicant has
carried out “a substantial number of the main duties...including all of the essential duties,” they should
give the applicant an opportunity to respond to these concerns.

• take into account any years of experience that occur between application and assessment,
and for which the applicant has submitted the necessary documentation (R77). [/color]

plz read BOLD lines.
--> if JOB description doesnot match with your work ex( job duties) then we might not eligible to apply as FSW1....However if you read post by me on topic Rule R80, Mr John has pointed out that Job duties is more important than job title (please refer below).....Here this two different thoery are creating confusion.....Plz advice Job Title is important or job duties???
______________IN EG7.pdf/Page 5________________________

Determining your NOC category
STEP 3. Follow the instructions to find the NOC category that matches your work experience.
The initial description and list of main duties must match what you did at your last job(s).
If the description does not match your work experience, then you might not have the experience you need to apply as a skilled worker
.

I checked common questions topic. I have same case.

My current job title is Program Analyst and this is not listed in the ministerial list but that occupation title is similar to another in the NOC matrix.
Noc : 2174 Computer Programmers and Interactive Media Developers
Noc : 4161 Natural and Applied Science Policy Researchers, Consultants and Program Officers
Noc: 4165 Health Policy Researchers, Consultants and Program Officers

i have to do same thing that you have done. At this time, if i submit my employer letter (to explain my duties wrt to Ministerial list) that would be helpful.
