Hi pls help.. My PP received in ottawa march 3 and my working permit is until march 18, my employer dont want to renew my working permit, and maybe the time that my passport will send back to me my work permit is already expire.. Am i still good to do flagpoling even though i dont have status after march 18, because my employer says im still good i just need to stop work for some days that im not yet done on my landing.. Anyone can help.. When is my expected date of receiveof passport with stamp maybe and is it still ok to stay in canada without any status for a while.. Thanks for those who share their thoughts

it is not a problem but you should have funds in your bank, when you do flag polling the officer may ask funds in your bank account because you are not working by the time you do flag polling(better to keep bank statement)

I don't want to scare you but you can't stay in Canada even a day with no legal status which is condition after your wp expired. You need to have some kind of visa.
Maybe CBSA officer will be tolerant but what if not? This is just what I know about this.

What i heard was that people apply for visitor visa during this kind of period. Going out of status before landing is not good. YOu can wait till 18th and apply for it on 18th before end of the day if passport is not in your hand.

my passport was received in ottawa on the 17th feb/2016. still with them. so it may take more than three weeks to get it back.

30 days is service standard as mentioned in PPR letter. When I submitted my passports to vfsglobal, the officer told me it is even 30 WORKING days

my passport return tracker activated today at 4:13 ottawa time. received on the 17th/feb in Ottawa CIC office.

It is Singapore instead. But regarding service standard, I think CIC mentions "30 days" in all PPR letters

Follow what the others have said. Don't lose your legal status even it is just for a single day

Thanks for all the reply, but my employer is working before at rcmp with connection he said im legal to stay and we have 90days allowed after the work permit to expire its just that i cant work, im kinda worried but i trust him, i do understand as well that maybe he dont want to spend money on renewing my work permit and still he wants me to work for him after the flag polling, hopefully my passport will be back soon cause the more i wait the more days i didnt work.. Pls keep posted so i cant track everyone.. Thanks

Finally received my passport with visa stamped from Ottawa after 20 days. I am going to go to Carway for landing on this weekend. does anybody know what should I take with me?
