Can you believe it? Canadian citizens fell by 6,000.
I read a piece of news about turnout:
"As of 8.45 p.m. ET Tuesday with 99.41 percent of polls reporting, 16,134,539 of 27,366,297 registered electors showed up to vote — a turnout rate of 58.96 percent.
That's lower than the 2019 federal election, which saw 18,350,359 of 27,373,058 eligible voters cast ballots, resulting in a turnout of 67 percent."
Did you notice? Eligible voters, 27,373,058 in 2019, and 27,366,297 in 2021.
In 2021, there are 6761 fewer Canadian citizens than in 2019.
From 2019 to 2021, IRCC really took a two-year holiday.
