i m sponsoring my husband. i have question that in the form called as sponsorship evaluation , they are asking such question that do not apply to me ......so can i leave those boxes empty or what should i write in them .......please reply....

in application there are things which are not applied to us so can we just leave those boxes empty ....please guide us thank u

If you type your information on the form as if you were going to submit it online, you will find that some boxes are automatically shaded in as you fill in the form. You will not be able to complete those online and although as I recollect it the instructions do not say so explicitly, the inference is that you need not complete those boxes. You may find however that you cannot complete other boxes because the information they ask for is not available. For example a box may require an end date to some event and you may want to complete that by entering the words 'the present' but find that you cannot do so because the box requires a date and nothing else. I dealt with that problem by printing out the form with the box blank and then writing in the answer and then posting the printout instead of submitting it online. Except where CIC's software shades in the box it is not a good idea to leave boxes empty.

You can write "NONE" or "N/A" (Not applicable) if the box is not shaded out and it doesn't apply to you.

I'm dealing with the same problem too... so did you have an problem in filling up the boxes with the word "present" to end the date? that's the only thing that makes me worry......

You can enter the date that you filled in the forms. We did that and CIC accepted the answers.

No. The application to sponsor was accepted. You could alternatively do it as Zardoz suggests. I thought of doing it that way but the process of compiling the information and then signing and dating the forms took so long that I did not want to risk leaving blank boxes in the forms. So like Frank Sinatra I did it my way and encountered no problem.

okay then i'll do what zardoz suggested :)) thanks!
