im contemplating immigrating to Canada but i dont know what my chances are in getting a job with my qualifications. I have a Law degree from a South African university and is currently employed as a Prosecutor in a district court.

1. You have one thing going for you, in that you practised under British Common Law.
2. The law society will probably require you to take additional course, or challenge them.
3. You will have to do 1 years worth of articles, once you qualify.
4. Look http://www.cicic.ca/en/professions.aspx?sortcode=2.19.21&prof=4112 you will have to apply to the National Accreditation committee to have your credentials assessed.
