Hi,
When we became a PR, we went to the office in Etobicoke for an interview to get our PR, after we finished the interview, we have received the Confirmation Of Permanent Residence document (COPR, IMM 5688), after a few months I've noticed that the original entry date was wrong, so I've sent a letter requesting this date to be amended (the letter was sent via mail and it had the original COPR documents), and the request was approved.
When I received the approval for the date change by mail, that letter included a "status verification" document (IMM 5716), but the original COPR document wasn't included in that letter.
My question is - can I use the "status verification" document instead of the COPR when applying for citizenship or do I need to have the COPR for that?
