Hi Senior members of this forum,
I have a queation related to spousal sponsorship application. I want to apply to sponsor my spouse (outland) but I already have submitted my Parent's sponsorship under PGP program in 2021 which is under processing. I am desperately looking for answer that Will I be able to apply for spousal sponsorship application now? OR I will have to withdraw my parent's application before applying for Spouse?
Please advice, hoping to hear from you.
Thanks.

You can sponosor your spouse. No, you do not need to withdraw your parents' application.

Will the requirement to meet LICO be revised to the date of the application for PGP or from the time of the spousal application?

I wouldn't say it will be revised. LICO needs to continue to be met (including any new family members) until the PGP application is approved. So regardless whether the OP sponsors their spouse or not, LICO needs to be met which would include the spouse.

OP should have already updated or included the spouse in the LICO for the PGP application regardless if he/she is sponsoring the spouse.

Thank you very much all for your responses. I would definitely meet the LICO for this year and upcoming years but the time I submitted my mothers application I didn’t have spouse at that time and I was only required to fulfill LICO for myself and parents. I hope it wouldn’t be a problem. Can you please give your opinions on this?
Thanks to all of you again.

When did you get married? From the time you married going forward, you need to meet LICO for four people.

Thanks Scylla.
I got married 2 weeks ago.
Yes, I meet LICO for 4 people now it’s just I was worried that when I submitted my parents application last year they asked me to submit 3 years prior incomes to application and that time I never had a spouse.
Appreciate your input here.

I think you should be OK. Since you got married after submitting the application, you need to meet LICO for 4 in 2022 and until your application is completed.
