Calgary-- Citizenship Application- Jan/Feb/March 2015-Application to Oath

Sent my app on Feb 16 2015 and received on Feb 23.
AOR on March 25.

Thanks all and if we only keep this thread alive by updating we can have a pretty good idea how faster applications in Calgary office is moving.

Hello all,

my application status is "Received" and its been more than 2 weeks CIC have received it.

Is that normal or its taking more time then it should?

It takes between 3 weeks and 3 months so YES. I have been waiting 42 days before my application showed "in process".

my timeline is
we received your application on Feb.9 2015.
we sent you a letter on March11,2015.
we started processing your application on April 27,2015.
Your file was transferred to Calgary office on May7,2015.The office will contact you.

Any idea what to expect next? is the Calgary office fast now or still few more months to go?

Next will be letter inviting to take test if there is not any further document needed by CIC..hoping/assuming it might take 2 months at least...but who knows...lol

My LOT line dis-appeared from the status..what that mean?
i.e. Your file was transferred to Calgary office on May XX,2015.The office will contact you - is gone from the online status. Hope its a good sign.

my 4rth line also disappeared? "your file has been transferred to Calgary office on May7,2015". what does it mean? is this unusal? any insight?please do reply.thanks.

someone in the forum mentioned some system update in CIC. Others also reported the same disappearing line from the status issue.

Mine too disappeared from the display - the fourth line used to be "Transferred to Calgary office. The Calgary office will contact you" now only 3 lines

The wording also got changed for all of the below but the meaning is still the same for sending a letter and expect delay in postal.... is gone now. The below is the latest for me

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on January 16, 2015.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 1, 2015.
3.We started processing your application on April 9, 2015.


Hope I get the test date soon as I am not comfortable writing tests even though I read; Its like my ethic exam for PEng

I did a little bit of clicking around and found this. Once you login and see the status (three lines and then below that see LOGOUT button)
If you see the information below that logout button, few lines below the remove access, the first one when clicked explains what the status mean. As per that if in process that means that your application is already with the local office and thus they have removed the transfer line. The system got updated on 2nd June2015 and I believe this information got updated at this time as well.

So I think that in your future no one will get this transfer line, please have a look. Hope you guys are relieved as I am
