I am thinking the same. Lets see what are the different status the new applicants goes through. If no one gets LOT anymore then its confirmed.

Calgary office
1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 23, 2013.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on September 23, 2013.
3.We started processing your application on January 8, 2014.

4- RQ received march 2014 , sent April 2014
and I'm waiting my test

Very quite. I have been following another Calgary forum; This is what I understand. Tests are being conducted for people whose applications are received between OCt/Nov 2014. My application was received on Jan 16th 2015 and so expect my test date to come in a month or two? What do you say?

CIC also changed the processing times for normal applications, as you all might have been updated with this information; If not, please check cic website

Another best source for the Citizenship test is www citizenshiptests ca, probably one has to pay $30 but I feel based on my review it is worth get this test over with at one time. Test is an important step in my opinion

Check it out, probably you should buy after receiving the test date and so that you do not forget what you studied.

I have done my test today, 27th Aug-2015 and have passed with 20/20 and wife took 18/20. We were told 1-3 months for the next and final step (Ceremony). Great relief to have completed this step.
Here is my timeline

I had applied on Dec 20th 2014 and appln. reached on 2nd Jan2015; returned due to less fee paid (was not knowing the fee change); sent back on 12th Jan2015 after paying the remaining; The following is my timeline on the ECAS; I had a fourth line (about the transfer to Calgary on May 9th 2015 or so) which disappeared

Citizenship
1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on January 16, 2015.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 1, 2015.
3.We started processing your application on April 9, 2015.

my timeline is
we received your application on Feb.9 2015.
we sent you a letter on March11,2015.
we started processing your application on April 27,2015.
Your file was transferred to Calgary office on May7,2015.The office will contact you.

Any idea what to expect next? is the Calgary office fast now or still few more months to go?

Sounds like we have similar timelines. The others on this thread are a couple months ahead of us, but hopefully we can get a good idea of what to expect here. I will keep you posted!

Check out the Feb 2015 citizenship application thread as there is someone (can't remember the name) who will have the oath on October 19 (election day) and he called Election Canada and they confirmed that he will be allowed to vote! So I guess if you have your oath on Sept 30 you will definitely be able to vote.

In-procress- - May 13
LOT- May 25
Test- Sept 30
Oath- ??

Was told 1-3 months for oath. so fingers crossed.

JUST 1 IMP point to test takers: study the book at least twice. Got 20/20. Looks like question sets are different...meaning on the test CIC has different sets of questions..

Hey guys, Just sharing timeline and see if anyone is in the same boat as I suspect most of us are:


We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on January 23, 2015.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 3, 2015.
We started processing your application on March 9, 2015.
We sent you a notice on August 17, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on September 1, 2015 at 9:00 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Decision made since Spetember 1st... Still no oath letter been 1 months 20 days. My office is Calgary...The wait is sooo looooong lol
